He’s not going to keep the shield. That’s not his thing. After beating the Hand, for now, there will be some reason to abandon the Fist. The organization will become corrupted, there will be some conflict with Electra, and he’ll take up his standard red costume again. Matt can’t be happy for too long, he’s a tortured soul. Something will come and knock him down.

Actually the shield makes perfect sense offensively DD can toss and catch with Bullseye and is nearly as accurate, and with his senses and sonar can use it even more effectively than Cap or US Agent can to block gunfire or whatever.
