Lots of comments as to why this is called Wolverine vs Apocalypse and not X-Men vs Apocalypse. So here is why, we are going to only say this once, this is a Wolverine Channel, specifically listing actions in the world of Logan aka The Wolverine.
This includes all the cool things he did, and all the lame things he did and said as well. Some fights will be great some fights will be lame. In this particular instance he misses and does nothing we agree, but since this is a Wolverine channel we needed to add this one as well. now if that does not make sense to you we can't help you.

IMO one of the biggest mistakes of the X-Men First Class era of movies was to not cast someone with an impressive and intimidating voice for Apocalypse. As good an actor as Oscar Isaac is he just was not suitable for the part. Maybe if they had altered his voice in post it would have worked ok. But when I saw the trailer and heard his character speak, it was over. I didn't bother to see the movie in a theater.

Rogue and Apocalypse's voice actors were both brilliant in this! Rogue's voice is used here to convey both humor ("Dang, and I missed it?!"), and earnest poignance ("The Professor was right; You ARE crazy.") and nails both perfectly, and Apoc's voice is dripping with madness, pomposity and malice, truly the voice of a demented would- be tyrant.
