IMO one of the biggest mistakes of the X-Men First Class era of movies was to not cast someone with an impressive and intimidating voice for Apocalypse. As good an actor as Oscar Isaac is he just was not suitable for the part. Maybe if they had altered his voice in post it would have worked ok. But when I saw the trailer and heard his character speak, it was over. I didn't bother to see the movie in a theater.

As kids anyone who watched this cartoon knew it was awesome. But when we watch it as adults is when we can’t help but notice just how close the artwork is to the comics. We start to notice some of the sensual innuendos in the artwork that we didn’t notice as kids. I mean really, rogue jean and storm’s figures are just ROWR!

Rogue and Apocalypse's voice actors were both brilliant in this! Rogue's voice is used here to convey both humor ("Dang, and I missed it?!"), and earnest poignance ("The Professor was right; You ARE crazy.") and nails both perfectly, and Apoc's voice is dripping with madness, pomposity and malice, truly the voice of a demented would- be tyrant.
