ESPN NBA draft analyst Mike Schmitz analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of former Vanderbilt guard Darius Garland. Schmitz says Garland shares similar physical tools and athletic profile with Warriors star Steph Curry. Schmitz calls Garland one of the 2019 NBA Draft’s most gifted shot-creators, who has the skills to develop into an All-Star caliber point guard and franchise building block.

Gershom Tan Lonzo can play the off-guard position. If the Lakers can be smart for once and let Lonzo make the plays, then they’ll be successful. LeBron and Garland should just focus on scoring. Garland-Ball-James-Kuzma would be nice but honestly it won’t happen because Lakers don’t have patience

Defence is all effort. No matter what size you are or how big you are it’s all effort, if you look at guys like Patrick Beverley he’s willing to defending anybody in the NBA whether it’s Steph Curry, LeBron, KD, etc. If Darius Garland can become an elite defender and have the toughness on the defensive end. He will be a great PG in the NBA.

The way he plays off contact , uses his shoulders and his dribble , he is going to be a top 5 PG in next few years , the Key will be Sexton becoming a much better defender which I see him as being well above average the more comfortable he becomes and learning to play off ball better and catch and shoot Garland will also be able to play off Sexton but if I'm Cavs 75% of time Garland is my primary ball handler Have to trade K Love , I love the pick and pop ability but I think Nance and Thompson for a year should start at 4 and 5 and Windler should start at SF and just go full on youth , going into next year getting a SF and A center is the key Develop Porter Into a 3 and d guy with creator ability that can be are starting 2 guard and bring Sexton off bench as 6th man playing high minutes along with windler when we do find the key piece a young high quality starting sf through draft or FA Next year will have a ton of money off the books and can keep building this team the right way , I'm excited to see this team grow and see if gm and coach has what it takes to see , and develop the tools needed to win To bad we can add Kelly Oubre Jr in FA as our starting SF he be a good fit or trade Love and Clarkson for G Hayward and something else would also be a good move to make This year need to sign a center maybe even a Javale McGee if Lakers do not resign him be a good fit as well

Steph Curry and Damian Lillard as DEEP 3-point shot makers has changed the point position forever. 😀😀😀 Darius Garland is the beneficiary !!! Lebron James could still do his POINT FORWARD routine. We all know how Draymond Green handles equal amounts of POINT FORWARD responsibilities. Damian Lillard plays OFF-THE-BALL sometimes to let C.J. McCollum handle the ball, but he can still make 3-pointers off Catch & Shoot. Defenders don't want to extend that far away from the Free Throw Line.Takes away their ability as help-defenders to protect the basket. It's like having an EXTRA 2-GUARD !!!

Ernesto Gotti of course y’all should trade for AD but the problem isn’t the Lakers, it’s the Pelicans. They are acting fufu asf. They know damn well the Lakers have the BEST trade offer. If they don’t want Zo, Kuz, or Ingram, then just trade them elsewhere for more draft picks.

@elijahwilliams3728
@elijahwilliams3728 5 жыл бұрын
Mamba I cant say that yet cause nobody in this draft played in the nba yet. But Lonzo hasn't accomplished anything in the league or made his team better. Donavan Mitchell deaaron fox jayson Tatum Laurie makkenenn Derrick white Kyle khuzma and all them are wayy better picks than Lonzo and they were drafted after him. He was only drafted number 2 cause of hype and only still in the league cause of hype. He's basically a glorified Markelle fultz except he's fine with having a dysfunctional jumpshot since he plays with lebron

NBA needs to have free agency before the draft cause for example what if the Lakers draft Darius Darland then gets Kryie in free agency what will they do with both Kyrie and Darius Darland when if they knew they have Kyrie already then they can draft for a SG or SF Hunter or Cuvlver etc.
