Here is a quick difference between a High elo and low elo darius player.
In low elo, Darius players often just walk up, hit the grab and follow up with a W and Q.
In High elo, Darius players will grab, Then auto attack and immediately hit W plus Q at the same time to cancel the W animation.
this combo definitely makes a very big difference.

another trick good darius players do after hitting a pull, walk forward to get on the other side of them to have more time to run them down. abuses the slow from it and stops champs like vayne and quinn from escaping as easily

I find E-A-A-W-Q-A to be way more effective (auto twice before W). The slow on your E is enough to get 2 autos on any champ without a dash or speed up. It turns a 4 stack combo to a 5 stack combo, and prevents you from wasting your E slow by stacking the W slow on top of it.

If you want to all in, Q hit first then step backward and wait Q cooldown ( please noitice your passive ) It will make your opponent think that you trust want a trade. Then you can suprise with a E grab and end with another Q.

In some cases its better to not auto w and just q. That guaranges the q hitting because the q charge time is also the cc time of your e. So They cant react with a Flash or dash to your q.

Also just to add to this as a Master Darius one trick as your W is hidden in the Q you want to start walking forward as normally if you get this off its a big trade or all in.

the full combo is AA ->E->AA->W->Q->AA->R so you have 5 stacks on him when you ult , if you have a ranged top laner you use the e first to close the gap , then AA make sure to walk towards him when you grab him with the E so you close the gap

Also darius e has a short stun after hitting someone. They can't do anything for a split second, most darius players auto+w in this time but they don't know e+q or e+r is a guarantee hit as well.

But how can you manage to not use the Pull as the first Move if the enemy always keeps you at Bay? Like.. How would I need to engage first if the enemy always prevents me from getting close? I would like to know because I honestly don't know how, the enemy always seems to have the upper hand if I don't Pull first, as it is a Brief Stun and can be combined with the other abilities for some quick damage and trades, every time I try to not pull first they do theyr Combo on me first so then I am at a disadvantage and would rather escape the fight rather than keep going and using the Pull after.

And because you asked, you just ghost up and stat the fight with W, that way they get slowed, in lower ranks sure just do whatever cuz everyone has room temperature IQ, but from diamond and above you need to use your E wisely as its ur only defensive tool. Trust me.
