Hootie and the Blowfish, Darius solo, all the music they have created over the years is truly special. The reason that some people were mad is they were uniquely themselves. There is a unique element in their music that you won't hear anywhere else. The mixed flavor in their music...whether country, rock, soul, and bluegrass it draws so many fans for a reason. As a group they are true professionals. They have supported each other regardless of the circumstances. Darius has truly of of the best career then most artist. He is talented and intentional in whatever he is creating.

Hootie and the Blowfish were my band in the 90's!! I wore out my CD twice and know all the words! Great song writing there. I will stand by their music any day! And I love Darius as a solo artist also.🤩

I remember Hootie and the Blowfish and hearing them at my step daughter's friend's house and asking who is that? At 67 now I remember they and a few other "alternative" bands being the last music I really liked and then hearing blues come back...just a bit with Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Johnny Lang...and that was it... Nothing else, oh good single bands a few, but pretty much after about 2000, I was done...

Darrius doesn’t need those pompous asses deciding who’s who in music, that decision is he people who buy the music, those people who see, love and totally understand the music. I for one have been and continue to be so I love with Darrius and the blowfish. I would consider them eons above the majority of the mainstream picks they chose. For Gods sake man,that in itself show them to be well below Musical times.
