When I was a kid I watched Villa play Man Utd. When Vassell got subbed off, the away Man U fans sarcastically applauded him. Poor Darius didn't get this and clapped back in their direction. Then they all laughed. For some reason this random act of dickishness has stuck in my mind 15 years later.

I never would have believed as a huge villa fan living in Turkey that there could be a connection between Villa a hateful fascist team like Ankaragücü, especially involving a black man from Birmingham. Incredible stuff. What his agent was thinking, I've no idea.

Nicky O'Donnell fascist team? Are you dumb
@karmababy50776 жыл бұрын
I have been to games there in their stadium. The "grey wolves", an openly fascist youth wing of the MHP, make up a large part of their support base. Historically the teams supporters have been connected to acts of violence against the Turkish left on university campuses in Ankara. The government even once intervened to keep the team in the top division unfairly after it was relegated because they wanted to make sure a team from country's political capital continued to play in the top flight. Not dumb, just better informed than you.

@gladtidings78746 жыл бұрын
There are some muslims in turkey. But turkey is not a muslim country. It hasn't been a muslim country for almost 100 years. Especially since it was conquered by the west. The UK is more of a muslim country than turkey is right now. At least women are free to dress modestly and you don't get locked up for growing a beard. turkey is run by extreme secularists. There is no freedom for muslims in turkey. Islam is starting to make a comeback though. The turks are realising how great they were with Islam.

First off, this Brummie calls Jamaica "back home", which is why he can never be classed as an Englishman. If you can point to another country as "back home", despite being born and raised somewhere else, you aren't English. He disrespects the country that gave him everything, and is lauded for it. What life would he have had in Jamaica? Would it have been as successful, both financially and professionally, as the life he has now? This guy proves multiculturalism is bollocks.
