Couldn't agree more! Lord Tywin; Westeros' _Shadow King_ is #1! But Tyreion, Jaimie & Cersei are A close 2nd, via actors _"made for the role"_ right? Anyhow Lannister's were the Best! Followed by Melisandre & Stannis. > And what happened when Stannis & Tywin were out of the picture for good? The saga's intensity & the HBO show's overall arching antagonist VP decreased by like 75% (maybe more). Than when Both of the Bolton's were out the picture, it dropped again, like another 15%. Meaning only like 10% of an actual antagonist "threat" remained on the show. Than there was the Fake Night King (who was like 8% of the remaining 10) who never pulled through anyway (unlike _The 'Knights King'_ & what an HBO blunder, not spending A 65mnts flashback epsd on the whole 13th Lord Commander story SMH).. And than there's 'Little Finger', who was like 1% of A threat to The protagonists heroes (you knew Pieter was A red hearing). > Same w/ the Crow's Eye. Who'll I'll say was the other final 1%, because the acting & writing for him was so lackluster & not believable! And lastly the Queens. _______ The _Queen of Thorns_ 0%, She was only their to stir high court drama, not wage war against the Starks or Dany. > Same w/ Cercei, A 0% threat! She never sold me as being A major Threat to the protagonists. A great actress indeed, but obviously wasn't sht when Tywin got pulled from the board. Plus "The High" Sparrow & his zealot faith militant proved how weak she was by sacking her throne, the week after Tywin was buried.

The thing about combining the culture of the Thenns and the Ice-River clans in the TV show always pissed me off. You are literally taking the most advanced and sophisticated clan/culture of the free folk and combining it with the LEAST advanced and most barbaric/savage of the free folk and expecting it to make perfect sense. Like, yeah, some pretty advanced societies still had self-mutilation/scarring and still had cannibalistic customs, sure, but they sure as fuck weren't as brutal or savage as the Thenns in the TV show were. So how many defenders group has there been in fiction, particularly "started as badass but decayed"? The closest thing I can recall is Stigmata Garrison from Fading Suns, even if they are the few groups to have advanced and irreplaceable technology (power armors and cloaking devices) and quite well-maintained, especially under Alexius Hawkwood (Ned Stark but enough political shrewdness). And there's the Rangers of the North, but their issues were attrition-based due to their independent nature.

TIN FOIL TIME: @5:15 - Tywin’s voice says “the fearless warriors of *the first Night’s Watch* ...“ while we see what many believe is an illustration of *the last hero and his 12 companions* Most believe the Nights Watch started *after* the last hero and his companions took on the Others. Let’s suspend the cannon for a sec and imagine that the first Night’s Watch was the last hero and his gang, like Tywin’s narration says ->>This means the Last Hero was the first Lord Commander of the first Night’s Watch, assuming he was their leader. We also know the Last Hero was the last of this group to survive. What if he wasn’t in charge of this group of 13 when it was formed? What if, as they died off one-by-one the Last Hero was never put in charge of the remaining group? ->>When this guy is the only one left, he would be the de facto Lord Commander of the first Night’s Watch, of which one person remains -himself. *This would make him the 13th Lord Commander = The Night’s King*

Didn't count Sea-borne invasion (remember Norsca are sailors). 3. Orgies and cults in the Empire (consider that nobles and rich people keep summoning Slaaneshi daemons).

Sean Keuroghlian-Eaton the years have turned fact into legend that people no longer believe

Sean Keuroghlian-Eaton White Walkers are to the people south of the Wall what Jesus is to those who don't believe in Christianity. If you came up to someone who doesn't believe shouting "It is real! It has always been real!" without any concrete proof, why would someone believe in you? Most would think that the Wall is manned by fools and madmen, people you wouldn't trust at all. So why should someone trust a person whom they can't trust? May not be the best example, but I think you get my point.

we should consider that in the tywin's ages thousands of years are passed from the time that bran the builder built the wall

The words of the Bible are true, Samuel Leijerstam. Archaeology further confirms the words of the Bible, the mentioning of the Romans, Greeks, etc. Much of the 7 Kingdoms spend time squabbling with each other it seems. Dealing with civil war fomented by guys like Renly Baratheon, & in cases like Tywin Lannister, making a reputation for themselves. The ruler of the 7 Kingdoms is in charge of government spending & doesn't view the Northern Border Patrol as vital to national security. This is why members of the Night's Watch live a hand to mouth existence. Even if the 7 Kingdoms got along better, Tywin also pointed out that the Wildlings lack the manpower(gender notwithstanding)& resources to be a real threat. The Southerners obey the Laws of Thermodynamics & view the supernatural as gobbledegook. Lord & Lady So-&-So of whatever province maintain standing military's but there's no evidence of these active duty soldiers putting in time at the wall. Maintaining a standing military is expensive but a necessary evil. To make matters worse I don't think that they even use a peacetime draft.

@@samuelleijerstam9575 Certainly not the best example although I would like to point out that from a historical perspective there's general consensus that a man named Jesus existed and that Christianity (an organized system of beliefs, values and faith centered around Jesus was founded after his death)

My favourite is the one where Tywin completely violates the NW LOL
