Just a hint for future episodes: Every time there's a warping transition like the one before the last scene, we're switching between worlds. The ticking sound means we're only switching between timelines (in the same universe).

WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS: Why sometimes they did a little screen shake/ flick and then the warping transition.... Throughout season 3 they kept doing this.... @@akashvig5007 it might be just a variation of transition between worlds so it doesn't feel too mechanical. Also the shaking and focus-unfocus thing gives a cool feeling, like you're peeking into one of the worlds - which you do

I don't know if you guys know it, but when they show the dates in reverse, it means they are showing the new world, and if the date looks normal, it's in the world we already know. So older Jonas is not in the Bangs World.

Many things in alt-Martha's world are reversed as well. Her bedroom is a mirror of Jonas', you enter from the front door into the dining room from the opposite direction, and the chairs next to the cave are on the other side, etc.

Because I watched the entire season already and I noticed constant inconsistencies with Martha's little cut and the unknown man's cleft lip. They switch sides from shot to shot. It was so glaringly obvious that I thought it has some significance. But it doesn't. So I guess the continuity guys didn't do their job.

The worlds are mirrored, so everytime Martha or The Trio change worlds, the scars/cleft lip switch sides, like it's the other side of a mirror. We first saw alt Martha on Jonas's world and her cut was under her left eye; when she drops Jonas on her world, the cut is under her right eye; then at the end of the episode, when she meets Stranger Jonas at his world, the cut is again under her left eye. Mirror worlds; it's not that difficult to catch 🤷🏽‍♀️

I loved the scene where the 3 unknown traveller killed bernd in his house. I know this is a weird thing to say but just the setting and how it is filmed and everything is sooo cool and breathtaking! They look like a wolfpack how they walk towards him and omg! Loved it. Oh and when kiddo dude and grandpa dude folded their hands at the same time.. so aesthetic.. i just died! Adios

SMALL DETAILS MAKE THIS SHOW EPIC: The first hint of multiple worlds is received in Season 2 EPISODE 1 where hannah marks 21st june on the calendar but when jonas goes there after the apocalypse, june 21st is not marked and when adam also kills martha and circles june 27, june 21st is not crossed out. These little things are what make this show the GOAT

7:35 we don't even celebrate helloween that hard in germany. It's mostly just a few kids going from house to house and some clubs/bars decorating helloween style, but thats it. You'd be suprised how similar a lot of big cities are to the US ones nowadays. Small cities are a different kind of beast though, like the fictional Winden, which is a very small town. Like leaving the door open unattended for a while, like a few episodes back. In 1986 in a few 100 ppl town where nothing ever happens and you almost know everyone? Sure. Today? Certainly not. The biggest difference movie/tv wise between germany and the us is ratings-wise. In the US its mostly okay to show violence/gun use, but breasts and the F word are a no go if you want to show it to the majority. In germany you can say the F word in radio all day without a problem, breasts are mostly okay too, but gun useage and violence gets you into the "only 16/18 years" category pretty quickly. It's fun though how a lot of americans think that the rest of the world is kind of a weird 3rd-world place. We have a lot of american tourists here in berlin germany, they often say the same and are suprised, "its kind of exactly like new york". For better or for worse.

I'm watching your reactions after every episode, so I'm still on S3E1 myself... What I noted from this episode, is that our world mid-aged Jonas was not aware of other world Martha... It seemed clear this was the first time he met her... So I'm thinking this might have been the first time young Jonas was rescued by Martha 2 after Martha 1 died. Just what I'm reading from all this at the moment. I also noted in the class that she was drawing infinity symbols. So I'm thinking the knot that was mentioned is the center of the infinity symbol, with each mirror opposite circle of time on either side. Don't know if I'm making sense.

So doing the math, 1888, that's enough time for him to be old in 1920s. So, tho he obv travels still he seems to keep his lair in that era.

@5:53 there are 2 different English subtitle options available - "English" and "English CC". The translations are almost the same, but this is a good example of why "English CC" is the better choice - in this version, he says "I still need a signature," which sounds way better than "a signature was missing." Another example: "We are a perfect match, never think otherwise" compared to "You and I are perfect for each other, never believe anything else."
