People in the discord have been saying that true magic damage is trash compared to true phys damage because of the way it is calculated. I've found conflicting information for both sides but an interested to hear your take on it if you are able. Basically, the 1 true magical damage gets cut in half because of the .5 scaling of PW and it is spaced over the dot (for example, 1 true mag is actually dealing .1 damage every tick for 5 seconds) Whereas 1 true phys will deal 1 damage instantly. The wiki seems to support this but it isn't exactly reliable. And, many high ranking content creators are saying use true magic. Thank you for your time.

Using arming sword and rapier is by all means a crutch, daggers are undeniably the best weapons for rogue, they are litteraly better in every regard. Even for poison weapon since the faster you hit the faster you proc poison stacks

As a fellow Rogue main here's my share of input :). TBH, I'd say fuck the poison build. And having anything to do with it unless your going base gear lobby's. Rogues poison scaling is SO.....PATHETIC in every way it's mind blowing. I've put uncommon gear on with a combination of true magical damage and WILL, and also investing more in will to see if the damage is good, and with the budget of maybe 2.5k for this project, I never saw more then 7 DMG per tick also keep in mind that I have to stab them atleast 5 times in order for max poison stacks (4 or 5 for base gear). In my opinion I've found MUCH more reliability using Hide weak point, perks: Creep, Ambush Dagger mastery, stealth or thrust. Not even using jokester I can crouch around and listen, determine if someone is about to run into me, pop weak point, stab u till they land 1 or 2 shots on me then they should be low enough I can just kite and throwing knife them down. Barbs however ......I just don't take those fights :) In brief: I find myself constantly more successful using weak point. I've been trying to play cutthroat weak point rogue lately because I'm sick and tired of fucking fighters and there oh shit / healing button when they start loosing. I use weak point first, I stab 5 times THEN I use the silence when there around half up. Everyone's different though And how there play style is I understand that

have you tried more than uncommon gear? i think any poison build below 220gs is eh at best but above that it can be pretty damaging

@@sortofcephalopod8972 yea ive tried 124's and up buying true magic DMG on all pieces applicable with it between rare and epic quality while also making sure my magic power is atleast not a negative value and i could only get about 5,6, or 7 DMG per tick. Gearing into poison damage offers much less to you. You'd be sacrificing atleast 3 or 4 gear slots to give urself such a barely noticeable damage increase.

I don't think Molotov's are worth it unless you can make them stay in a single area for an extended amount of time. If you can team up with a ranger's hunting trap - absolutely.

You could definitely run another crossbow and rapier combo - I prefer to keep them separate to minimize the move speed penalty

I would recommend the Orc skin that you can buy with 4 blue stone shards, it gives +1 strength and it blends in the dark pretty well

Think of Rupture as a Damage over time (DOT) option while Weak Point is more of a direct assault option. The double jump build relies on war of attrition, slowly whittling your targets HP.
