I tend to get a bit bogged down by doing each step in order and one at a time on projects. Your advice about painting many things at once in order to be able to grab it as a canvas later on is gold. BTW I did a project using some of the tissue paper you recommended from the other dark moody project you showed (sort of like a harlequin pattern). It was 3 metal tin squares in a tin base from a thrift store- wow, it looks so nice. I love that paper and have enough to use it on other projects. I mixed it with the grungy pattern with large numbers. super cool.
