Dark Cloud 2/Dark Chronicle is my favourite game of all time. It makes me happy that someone is still doing what you do, I don’t know how you figure half of this stuff out but it’s fascinating & in a way it keeps this game alive. Thank you.

It's one of my all-time favorite childhood games and this level of glitchy weirdness is leaving me gobsmacked. The best I could do was exploiting the Lure Rod glitch for cash. This is surgical glitching, lol. I'm legitimately curious to see what other strange circumstances can be set up in this game.

Nice find! Not sure how I feel about opening a menu exactly 587 times in a speedrun, but glad that the game's probably beatable in under 2 hours now! Also not sure if you know of this method, but for the powerful weapon, personally I like using the name-change ticket method you mentioned before. Instead of manually getting the beast stat up though, I just use Monica's slot to glitch w/e weapon I want onto a Battle Wrench and then rename it. Cuts out the need for all the extra spectrumizing. (Though the speedrun just abuses the hell out of Name Change Tickets for all the gatekey duping now, so I might just be biased).

Amazing! You do so much for the small Dark Cloud community! Now we only need to find sequence breaks like this to get into chapter 7 asap. As chapter 8 is optional, and I don't think this could be used in a speedrun, right?

@@NobodyThatsIt Linda's immunity to your normal attacks doesn't just come from a simple high defense stat. She's just straight up immune to everything but the ridepod.
