Dark Cloud -PS4- Shipwreck Boss Battle! (La Saia The Ice Queen) + tips

She got the cold shoulder and went nuts...
p.s. The fight was kinda tricky...i used Xiao's holy slingshot damage to remove her force-field and then Ruby's fire damage to attack her directly. i didn't check if anyone can damage her with the proper attributes.

Shame this game was never remade, it so deserves a full blown remake that fleshes out the story and restores the Flapping Duster back room key in the Gallery of Time. What a classic, I'd be happy even if they were to simply bundle the two Dark Cloud games onto one disc. I'd gladly pay the 30 or 40 to own them physically once again.

They released the game also on the PS4 and PS NOW services I think. I think whether they were thinking about remaking it or going for a sequel; Sony still wants to be a part of the production of the game. Sadly, Level 5 doesn’t want that, as they would like to make the sequel (or remake) themselves. Especially considering the love and passion that the original Level 5 team poured into the games

Step 1: Activate fire on Xiao and Ruby's weapons. Step2: Hide behind a pillar to avoid her freezing attack. Step 3: Break her shield with Xiao.* Step 4: Attack with Ruby.* *Hide behind the pillars in-between her freezing attacks so you don't get hit* Repeat steps 3 and 4 till she's dead. If she does happen to freeze you, switch to goro or toan to move back behind the pillar and switch back to Xiao/Ruby.

I was stuck trying to open crystal doors just to be transferred to this boss fight with little to no coin and now I’m stuck again lol. I don’t remember it being so hard when I played it on ps2 then again I never made this far lol

Toan, Xiao and Goro can all break the shield on the Ice Queen using their weapons, but only Ruby can attack the Ice Queen directly. The shield has 100hp. The best element to use is fire. Alternatively you can toss 15 fire gems at her. Anti-freeze amulets and Stamina Drinks cannot prevent freeze. It sucks that the holy water missed. While it doesn't do any damage, it has another quite humorous effect.

@@MeisterSexy11 If it hits, it comes up with the standard "No effect" text, but it glitches out on some enemies, like the Ice Queen and the Moon Digger, and it will have the text and sound effect rapidly appear several times and briefly stun locks them. It only seems to work the first time though.

The easiest way to defeat this boss is buy smashing Goro's axe on her shield and give a stamina potion to Ruby with fire equipe it takes me like 2 minutes to defeat her

Wow this is tragic to watch lmao your problem was you had ice on both toan and ruby so they had no effect. All you had go do was switch toan to fire and he could of broken her shield then Ruby to attack with magic.

IVE PLAYED THIS GAME BEFORE. I LOST TO THE QUEEN JUST NOW, THAT WAS MY FRIST TRY BUT I REMEMBER IN THE PAST I USED A LOT OF STAMINA DRINK TO MAKE THE ATTACKS MORE POWERFUL AND ONE I REMEMBER USING EITHER BOMBS OR GEMS, CANT REMEMBER WHICH ONE.
