I own this version and love it. I saw the newer edition and don't care for the backing, but the rest of the deck is great. It's borderless, the colors are brighter and there are several new cards.

I get it. In the original, the borders create a portal and the placement of the images in the foreground leaves space for you to step into their realm. In the second edition, they’ve removed the borders and eliminated that space by bringing the images forward. In the second edition, they’re speaking to you while standing at their front door instead of allowing you to enter into their home. I have the original version but I haven’t used it in years because I don’t want to go into their world. I need that realm to step forward and speak to me in mine. I’m going to delve deeper into the second edition. PS I’ve been reading and collecting decks for well over 2 decades and it always surprises me when someone says a deck I own has been revised or retired. It’s like hearing an old friend has passed. I just never expect it.

This is on my wishlist as well as the seeker oracle and the dreams of gaia tarot. I live the new look of the cards with no border and the size but unlike you I never had the first version. Im happy for you that you had find an other way to use it.

I have the 2012 Edition and I have the new edition. But it looks as though the 2012 edition is not the first one you mentioned, because the cards are bigger than the ones of the new 2021 edition, although it says there that the first edition was 2012. I like the new borderless 2021 edition better because it is borderless and the cards are smaller, but I haven’t worked with either of the decks, because I am only now becoming more confident in my ability to get the right messages.
