This game is a solid 9/10 horror game. Its only flaw is that it needs a bunch of glitches and creases in some particular parts ironed out in the future, but compared to triple-A "horror" launches, Dark Deception is a master at the art of videogame horror.

Actually, on steam they already release a dlc called "dark deception complete" which is basically there for those who wanna buy every chapter together instead of having to buy them separately And I think the 5th chapter is gonna be released through that dlc as well (as well as a separate dlc), so I doubt it's gonna be free, but I agree with you, the devs have been working on the game since 2014 so they deserve appreciation for their work Watching gameplays and just liking the game itself is still a great way to support the devs nonetheless, even without money c:

Dark Deception is a indie horror game that has been conquering the hearts of many Horror KZbinrs over the past few years. I have to admit that I was not very impressed when I saw the first chapter with the monkeys and the hotel. It looked more like KZbin bait with lots of jump scares and frantic gameplay. But I am happy that I finally took the plunge so many chapters later and absolutely fell in love with this gem of a game! What makes it so good and awesome is that each level has their own twist, flavor and unique mechanics to keep the experience varied. You can see how the developers gained more experience over time as each chapter is better than the previous one. The upgrading mechanics are very useful and offer great motivation to keep playing. The background lore is also very interesting and hints at a deeper meaning of all the levels. Overall, this is yet another example why one should not judge a book by it's cover. Though initially I thought it was a simple first-person Pac-Man simulator, the end result was so much more, and I absolutely adore it. The only thing I had some problems with is that the game is quite buggy, especially towards the end chapters. I hope to see a patch in the future that goes back to the previous chapters and irons those out.
