Place 2 Camo Potions on R89 for the Glue and 052 Sniper, and then add 2 more Camo Potions on R90 for the right Ace and 032 Sniper. So, in total, we will be using 4 Camo Potions. This guide still works in Update 40.2, as reported by @cakennethwong and @shanmeyyew2017. As pointed out by @LiverOlive, on R100, DO NOT "spend $10,000 on anything you'd like" because you will need at least $4,500 for the Rejuv Potions for the BAD. BE CAREFUL!

Some suggestion, might want to be a bit more specific of placing new tower like placing dart at top right might confuses player, instead placing a new tower next to the upgraded monkey for example probably better? Idk its just a small suggestion

@@dominiquejubin Thanks! I actually considered it too, like “below other dart, close to track”, but it was too ambiguous because it can be the bottom track or the right track. The correct term is “as high as possible, as right as possible” but it’s too long so that’s why I wrote “top right”.

@@Bennyhanna7 No, you misunderstood it. Place 2 camo potions on R89 for Glue and 052 Sniper, then place 2 camo potions again on R90 for the right Ace and 032 Sniper. So in total we place 4 camo potions. Sorry for the confusion, my fault.

Works in 39.2 (11/02/23), used right trap on 91 and set 420 sniper to strong on 80 to be safe, but neither round looked close (possible RNG due to alch buff timing and neva-miss seeking). Did not buy anything on 100, it isn't particularly close.

36.3.6489 chimps cleared :-) Had to restart a few runs because I'm stupid. But it worked in the end. I never have had the idea to use Gera in such a clever way. And: it's a great tutorial as always. The only thing that could maybe be better for my watch&play style: A text window with the next steps for the upcoming rounds. But that's just one thing that could be helpful for me.

ok so i finally ended up doing this and I have a few things to note: - on round 30, even if the spac is a little bit off and it starts putting spikes on the bottom track, you'll be fine, don't worry about it. - on round 40, I put the blade trap in the exact same spot as he did with the gerry's fire, and the moab still ate all of my spikes in the back but one... make sure you place the blade trap a little further back than he did. - on many random rounds throughout mid-game, I felt like my game got a lot closer than his did, even though I copied everything exactly, but it didn't end up mattering in the end. just don't be panicked if your rounds look closer than his. - on round 100, DO NOT "spend $10,000 on anything you'd like", because you need at least $4.5k for the rejuv potions for the BAD. BE CAREFUL! this is one of the best guides I've ever seen, extremely easy to follow with the captions, and on an extremely difficult map too. bravo! (and it helped me get the final medal in the game, I'm sitting at 200% rn)

On mobile, things seem a bit different at early turns. On R27, the bloons on the left can be cleaned so the trap might not be needed to preserve the nail. And I tried twice, even though the top left spike is perfectly positioned, some nails would appear on the horizontal lane.

As 2 Aces with Alch and Village were placed, i knew i could breathe a bit until round 60. cause thats usually my deflation buildings that can beat any map^^. Anyway, very nice guide again. It was not really hard and worked first try. No comparison to my quad-desaster of bad luck. here, the BAD did not even have any chance to ruin my run. how long does it take you though, to craft such a strategy for such a hard map?

Crafting the strategy itself is not long usually. Maybe an hour. Just play the usual challenge editor run. Place a minimal defense, run it, if we lose then just retry the last round, use abilities or place new tower or upgrade existing tower, rinse and repeat until we beat R100. But for the black border run, it’s a huge difference. The testing part really takes a long time. I test the strategy over and over in the challenge editor. If there’s a close round, I test it at least 10 times for that round alone. And if I’m not satisfied, I test it again 10 times. If still not, another 10 times and so on. Geraldo especially is very annoying because if I want to test R85 for example, I can’t just test immediately on R85. I have to go back to let’s say R60 because some items are applied and replenished long before the round I want to test. Perma-Spike is even more troublesome. People who need guides love the result though. But for people who just want to watch and enjoy the videos? Not so much. After everything is ready. I play it several times in the real chimps game mode, usually about 4-10 times, to make sure the guide is safe and sound.

Tried it multiple times over the last few weeks but i die every time on r98 because of the top row. I place everything down as quickly as possible but still the bloons pass the genies. Is there another upgrade, monkey or trick that came help to prevent this or is this strategy just outdated? (Which would contradict the comments because somebody managed to do it a few weeks ago...) FYI i followed your guide like step for step so i didn't miss a single placement.

I don't think this strategy is outdated, as you pointed out-several people reported that this guide still works. However, you have an extra $5,000. I recommend using 3 Blades to clear out R98 and placing 10 spiky nails at the exits to prevent leaks.

Out of curiosity on round 100, would it be wise to delay the final First Strike (or any of them) for a second first? Having the Sabotage makes the round easy, even if the timing is messed up on timing a first strike victory, but it might also be a way for people to train on the timing as well? I might try this out if it can survive rounds 101 and 102.

200 Alchemist is unreliable, it only gives lead popping power for a few shots. Not good enough against DDTs like R95.

I specifically did not update the game (or close the game) when I found out 36.0 came out just because the balance changes for the Spike Factory. Long Story short, the former guide made HEAVY use of Perma-spike and Neva-Miss Aces. Permaspike on it's own got a 90% nerf pre round 81 and 25% from 81+. I remember @unescaped made a comment about round 91 specifically, but I cannot remember the details.

I believe that's because Downdraft got nerfed, so the right side is more RNG now than before. I suggest using Right Trap when the BFBs start eating the right pile of spiked balls.
