O melodie Într-adevăr. După prima secundă de ascultare mi-am dat seama de incompetența urechilor mele nefiind demne sa asculte o așa opera de arta. Mi-a atins nu numai sufletul dar și inima și ficatul și pancreasul toate deodată. Nici nu am cuvinte în a descrie așa frumusețe și inovație de cântec. Jana's translation is a literal translation - it is correct, but it does NOT follow the rhythm or tempo. There is another English version that follows the rhythm and tempo. Ochi chernye es como se transliteraria, puesto que ч se escribiría ch, и como I, р como r, н como n, ы como y , y la e se pronuncia igualmente en algunas oraciones como ye, entonces así es como se escribiria очи черные en un idioma con caracteres latinos.

Hola Mayda. Yo no soy ruso, pero sí aficionado a la música rusa, así que tal vez pueda aportar un poco más a la confusión general. No conocía esta teoría de la autoría cubana de la canción "Ojos negros", y recién traté de buscar la versión que se dice copiada, pero no tuve éxito; solamente en páginas cubanas se da por sentada la autoría por Sindo, y por lo que leí en un sitio (no cubano), a Sindo "le pareció" reconocer una melodía de su autoría al escuchar una versión del tema. Es decir, que no hay pruebas de que él haya sido el verdadero autor, más allá de sus propias palabras (esto hasta donde yo sé, que tampoco es mucho y es fruto de una rápida búsqueda en internet; ya se sabe que muchas veces ante tanta información es muy difícil separar la paja del trigo; si hubiera otro material que arroje luz al respecto, con gusto lo leería). Ahora bien, según yo tenía entendido, no es verdad que su autor es "un intérprete ruso desconocido", se sabe que la letra fue tomada de un poema de Evguenii Rebenka, poeta ucraniano que publicó esos versos en 1843. La música se le atribuye al compositor alemán Florian Hermann (de un vals suyo llamado "Homenaje"). La versión de la música conocida en estos días fue publicada en 1884 por otro músico, de apellido Gerdel.
