Welcome to Ghost Vigil.
Our aim is to prove the existence of 'ghosts' through paranormal experiments. The venue is Harwood House, boasting a disturbing history, waiting to be experienced, by you. We believe the building is haunted, not by a single unknown entity, but several. The O.P.G have placed several remote live cameras and experiments throughout the building.
Harwood House is now empty as it has been for 4 decades, but you can be the eyes in the dark... watching... waiting. Discover what happened.
The house was built in 1747, as a country home for Lord Harwood, his wife and young son, Edgar. The Harwood estate was modest, stretching to a few dark wooded hills, deep in the Oxfordshire countryside. A tragedy occurred, in 1749, when Lord Harwood lost his son to scarlet fever.
A mixed history then befell Harwood House; it was passed from one owner to another in quick succession. It would appear no-one wanted to stay, for long. In later years the house became a hotel, a maternity hospital and eventually, in 1968, a children's home known as Shangri La.
You are very new to the OPG, the Oxford Paranormal Group, but have to face your first 'all night vigil' at Harwood House. You have been given the Attic, as your designated 'closed door experiment'.
In addition to exploring your designated investigation area, there are also ghost cams available to see other parts of the venue, as well as interactions with your fellow OPG members via messages and walkie talkie.
Your mission is to monitor the equipment and paranormal experiments. Things start off okay, with potential activity; orbs, flashes, temperature drops... until midnight, when things become deeply ‘unexplainable’. Who haunts the attic of Harwood House?

LOL, yeah you and I had the same reactions with the Ghost-Hunters constantly calling you every second. Luckily your close to that ending, I think they still have 1 or 2 more Trivia questions to ask you (randomly...sigh) and then they'll start opening the house to you. Also, one more thing, while it says that you complete the playground event, there is something you can do. I don't know if it's required, but if you play on the different rides in a certain order a small event happens. I think something in the playground (maybe the radio or children noise) helps clue you in on what order to do it.

The picture of the burning boy is actually The Crying Boy painting. Painted by Giovanni Bragolin in the 1950s, the painting said to have a curse attached to it. Burning down the homes of anyone who owned a copy. The painting is the only thing that survived the fire. In 1985 serval homes in the UK who owned the painting burned the ground. While the family members managed to get out of their homes in time, nothing was left afterward, save for the painting it's self. With not a single burn mark on it. The story goes that while Giovanni traveling in Mexico, he found an orphanage for young boys. And asked one of the boys if he can paint his portrait. The boy said yes and the next day, the orphanage burned to the ground. Thus why the boy is crying, losing the only home he ever knew. Thus causing others to their lose the home if they were display the painting.

Love these no matter how goofy they are. Not sure they're doing it intentionally but these so-called ghost hunters are being portrayed pretty much how I imagine the ones on cheesy TV go about things. Just kinda handwaving everything, accepting things on little to no verification, and here, hunting for proof and signs while blithely ignoring all the strange noises and cries perpetually on repeat all over the place. Amusingly, there's the sound of a penny being dropped every so often and yet these pros remain none the wiser. 10/10. Must watch.

YAY! Another Dark Fall game! I think maybe other than True Fear: Forsaken Souls, the Dark Fall let's plays are at the top of my "favorite CJU videos" list. Point and click horror adventure games are, in my opinion, your strongest and most entertaining videos.

I think this dude tells a pretty decent tale in all his games, from killer standing stones to adding vegetables and herbs to pots; to investigators popping pills and vodka to stay alert, and of course..time-travelling space probes..I mean fark, com'on..Imagination!@ :) Remember the love-hate with these games.

39:37 Wonder if you had to ask the ouija board that and that's why Steve came in for a pop quiz? Also I really like a lot of the tech aspect of this game but I think it would've been better if they didn't dump all the equipment on you at once. Maybe let the player get a feel for each device so they don't forget what they have and where they can use it.

I love Dark Fall The Journal so much, and even Dark Fall 2 was pretty good, but 3 and 4 were so disappointing. I finally gave up on 4 because I could not stand Steve calling everytime I tried to change screens. It got so bad I couldn't even make progress or do what he was trying to get me to. I'm really glad I can watch a playthrough and find out what's supposed to happen.

The ESP game (the card matching game) is supposed to be played by two different people in two different rooms. There are some cards to pick from with the shapes in the game, and if the two people pick the same card then it's supposed to be evidence of some form of ESP.

hmmm...I do not believe this is Dark Fall 4. I can't remember when I read it but I do believe this was supposed to have been a smaller incarnation of the series. A holdover until the actual Dark Fall 4: Storm Warning comes out.

@@muireanne Yeah I can agree to that. Unlocked, the 4th game actually doesn't do it as much. I just recently played the Black Crown. Which was a really cool call back to the 13th Skull. Though I do wish the detective you play as could tell that. I figured out who they were talking about once I saw the girl locked away in the cell. XD

Good so far, besides when they interrupt you to much when you are investigating and it could be better with giving more info on what to do when you're done with the other tasks. But i would like to see more cause it seems quiet interesting.

And here I thought the ESP test involves another person picking the card and hiding the image away from you, while you declare what's in it. Afterwhich, this is repeated until all cards were used and your score = the # of images that you've gotten right. Not a memory test. Out of all the other Dark Fall games, this has to be 2nd of my least favorites, mainly because of all these repeated interruptions from your colleagues. It pulls you out of the immersion process of getting into the scares and the freedom to explore on your own. Jen, most of all, seems to have a lot of extra time on her hands. e_____e

Oh boy, this is like a job I had once... a micro-manager who gives no solid direction, an annoying co-worker who never stops talking so you can't get your work done and when you need help, no one is ever around. Let me give you the advice I wish I had taken back then... get in your car, go home and look for new employment in the morning! 😂🤣😂 Hopefully the house opens up and they let you do your thing without the constant interruptions. If so, this should be really fun.
