Dark Fantasy Music - Song of Elturel

Full moons are always beautiful, but what's better than a full moon on October 31st? For the ancient Celts, the the festivity of Samhain marked the closest possible step of our world to that of the otherworldly spirits and entities, among which were also ghosts. And this is probably the most ghostly piece I've ever arranged until now.
This is actually a commission for a friend of mine who is narrating an RPG campaign of "Dungeons & Dragons - Descent Into Avernus". He gave me some verses taken from the original game's lore, and asked me to put them into music. According to the story, this heartfelt ballad will be sung by the ghost of an elven bard haunting a tavern known as the "Elf Song Tavern". As I was creating the piece I started growing more curious about the woman's ghost and the story she told and found out what the history of Elturel consisted of. It was apparently a prosperous city which was blessed by a divine gift: a second sun in the sky, illuminating it day and night. One day though, a curse turned this sun dark and threatening, and chaos descended upon Elturel in the form of an army of demons. I tried to do my best to recreate such desperate feeling both in the song and in the video accompanying it.
Also, I am very sorry if it took me some time to upload something new, I keep having problems with my sequencer and only this morning I managed to remove some corrupted tracks from this project and replace them with new ones in order to make it work and export everything properly. If I miss some full moons in the future, know that this will most probably be the reason.

oh srry! I assumed you had played the descent into avernus campaign because this song is from that. I was trying to be vague so as not to spoil anyone in the comments so I referred to the descent of Elturel into the river styx as “the dunkening”. Zariel was the angel commander of the hellriders the song sings about, though she fell and became a devil. In our home game she re-became angel but only after all the damage she caused. Also it turns out the penance the gods had her do was guard duty for 100 years which sucks because my character really wanted to hang with their long lost angel devil angel mom 😔
