When i heard dark funeral on the radio show in dallas texas 89.3 its a death metal show call the dungeon. i ask the dj name raven was that a drum machine . he laugh and said that a fucking human playing drums and they call him the dominator. am a drummer . and just couldn't believe a human could play like that. they came to dallas with cannibal corpse and play at the bronco bowl. i went to the show to see with my own eyes. and i was shock to see a man play like that. and i was right there on the stage. that death and black metal show the dungeon still on the air saturdays night 12.00 to 4.00am on 89.3fm. how cool is that.

Hell yes 89.3 FM KNON kicks ass. Been listening since it first aired 20yrs ago when I was a kid. Discovered a lot of great bands thanks to that show. Raven is also very cool DJ. He always plays my requests. You can also tune in on Thursdays from 8-midnight for Thrashing Allen's show. They play all forms of Extreme Metal but with more emphasis on old school metal.

Let me be clear that i am not a specialist at drums or at this kind of music. I 've accidentally watched a video from Marthyn Jovanovic playing the song "Lucifer Incestus" , EXCELLENT drummer by the way, then watched A LOT of videos with drummers from his channel and a couple more channels(sickdrummer and drummers from hell) and my humble opinion is that this guy is on a Different and more Advanced level. At this high speed that he is playing and with those what you call, blast beats, double bass and especially those supersonic speed fills, he produces harmony in the ears and it is not boring at all but on the contrary becoming very interesting and unconsciously you are waiting for what sound will come next from those drumsticks... Yes, for me as a listener, he is Superhuman, inspiration for many new drummers, has a unique style and He is one of a Kind, An Incredible Drummer!

Would love to see this guy stay around for as long as possible. Really hope his posture while playing wont mess him up down the line. Its always sad seeing Paul from Cannibal Corpse in those studio videos having issues with his back. If only there was more awareness for musician related injuries. Too many have fallen to plights such as Focal Dystonia, extreme tendonitis, hearing loss, strained vocal chords etc.

Everyone with your, "Best blackmetal drummer" comments, just stop. Give it a rest already. There IS NO best. Trust me, I've played drums for 28 years (Not in a practice room, but on stage in front of people hundreds of times), as well as guitar for 30 years (I had very disciplined lessons with a classical teacher, as well as a jazz/blues teacher.... He was pissed when I chose to play drums as my main instrument... haha!) As I was saying, there is no best. It all comes down to who's style you like more. Once a drummer gets to a prolific skill level they are, "Top class". THEY are the best. Whomever you decide to proclaim, "the best" is simply your favorite in that genre. As far as blackmetal, you have: Nils, Nick Barker (in his prime), Frost, Hellhammer, Trym (in his prime), Simon Schilling, Fredrik Widigs and Martin Skaroupka would be THE BEST. Not to mention a lump of drummers I forgot at the moment.
