I’m a big fan of using French cleats for hanging heavier things like your mirror. I’m leery of dry wall anchors.

Man you just moved and you have gotten so much done. You have wlot if energy and youth on your side. You are a go getter . Love the room. Love the bench at the end of the bed. I couldnt tell if the walls were blue or green. On my phone the colors don't come thru ture to color. I'm not a curtain gal but they look nice. Love how you design and decorate.

Dear Sarah, Beautiful bedroom !!! Paint can really transform. May I make a suggestion? On the windowless wall beside your bed...my eye kept looking for balance. I would hang another set of curtains. Regarding going up as high as possible with curtains...do you use a special drill bit? Your curtains are as high as I do mine (I usually go wider) but I've noticed that there appears to be a steel beam or something across all of my windows/sliding glass doors and I can never drill thru both holes for the rod holders. Should I be using a steel bit for the drill?

We don’t have steel framing in my area. A steel drill bit would definitely be the only way to bore a hole, however I don’t know enough about that type of framing to be able to recommend if you even should do so.
