This was a great overview of what we are about to step into. I appreciate your candor about cost and not sharing those numbers, but I would have found it helpful for you to maybe include some more specific numbers. I absolutely understand that prices are different depending on where you live and what you want…I mean, you didn’t even cover frameless cabinets with full overlay, which is my preferred style. IDK…I understand you’re protecting yourself against criticism, but as someone who’s ready to start moving in 2024, I’d appreciate a ballpark, roundabout figure, even if it was just price per sq foot.

I understand! I can give a ballpark of 40k-90k. That’s why I don’t like to give ballparks 🙃 They are rarely actually helpful. But I will say that I don’t think you can get a custom kitchen for less than 40k no matter what state you live in. But the materials you choose, whether you are moving plumbing or electrical, and the labor costs of your area can literally swing it by 50-60k. I hope that’s more helpful!

A friend of mine has given me a brand new 3 piece kitchen countertop set that they couldn't use in their new home with sink insert . This will force us to personalize this kitchen design and cut our cost down. We have to make it work. It will reshape the whole kitchen. It's beautiful white marble. Another option for cabinets besides paint or stain is to have them veneered. My boxes are veneered, and the doors are replacements. Thirty years later some of the veneer needs work but it's had a good run.

I have that on my bedroom walls and it’s darker than yours. I am working on deciding color for my custom cabinets and I DO NOT want a white kitchen, but I want a bright but warm high LRV Paint. Hi. I am currently designing my new kitchen. I just realized that one bank of drawers is going to be 43.5”. I find that really wide but if I split in half then the result is two tiny drawers. What do you think? Will it look weird to have 43.5 drawers that are face frame?

That is a very large drawer. I would be more concerned with the stability of it long term. I guess I would ask what is around it? Depending on the cabinets around it, 21” drawers wouldn’t be super unfunctional. Another alternative that I would consider is a 30” drawer and the remainder smaller drawer for towels, utensils or other smaller items.
