This was just a bit of fun recycling guitar strings as I used to play in a band a lot, so if you know anyone who plays you could ask them to save them, alternatively a 3-4mm brass tube made for fly tying will do the exact some job :)

Where do you get your flash for this fly? Looks much thicker than standard Flashabou or similar material. Thanks.

This particular flash is the heaviest strand in the packs from angler hair, flash or something in between. These are particularly heavy because they are Fluorescent coated strands so not very flexible but kind cool when making resistance based flies like this one where you want it stand up against hard water. I'm currently using Future Fly :)
