I’m a firm believer you are “God’s chosen people” and I don’t like the hate I’m seeing against Jewish folks. We have many who are trying to repeat history with the hatred of Jewish people and I’m guessing they are either uneducated or can’t find anything better to do with their lives. Be proud of who you are and “never forget.” I know you won’t, because your grandparents told you why.

As a former history teacher, I wanted to thank you for all your wonderful presentations you do for us here on your channel. You are a natural educator! As to the horrors of medical experimentation, my late grandfather was in 42nd Rainbow Division during World War II. They and the 7th Army were the liberators the Dachau concentration camp. The sights he and the other men observed there were beyond human imagination. He looked German (whitish blonde hair and icy blue eyes even though he was Scottish), and had learned the language. He was often used to gain access to places the other soldiers could not easily go. He passed away when I was 12 and so I never got to learn firsthand of his personal experiences there as I was deemed to young to hear such atrocities (and rightly so). Again, thank you for your accurate depiction of these events even though they are hard for anyone with a kind heart to hear. These lessons are necessary nonetheless.

Guess who else was another famous eugenicist? An American woman by the name of Margaret Sanger. She started the “negro project.” She called black people weeds that needed to be cut down and gotten rid of. Guess what else she was a huge proponent of. Abortions. Her clinics were the beginnings of Planned Parenthood. She made sure that they were put primarily in “communities of color.” She convinced black women and other women of color and poor white women that abortion was their way out of poverty. You can’t stop having sex, so just kill your babies instead. If you have too many or if you’re single and poor and can’t afford to raise a child, just get rid of it. It’s just a clump of cells after all. It’s a fetus, not a baby. It’s your right. It’s your body, your choice. Sound familiar? But it was mainly started to get rid of those undesirable black children. And now you have those same women marching in the streets to fight for their right to kill their own babies in the wombs of their own mothers. She was also a staunch supporter and member of the democrat party and one of the first female member of the KKK, but I repeat myself. She was an awful evil woman and unfortunately her legacy lives on. Joseph Mengele’s legacy lived on through Margaret Sanger and now Margaret Sanger’s legacy lives on through the democrat party and Planned Parenthood. 70 million babies have been murdered in the wombs of their own mother’s since 1973. More than half of those babies have been black. I’d say that Margaret Sanger’s “negro project” has been a success. 😢

Good job Stephanie. Of course this made me remember that the foundation of eugenics was Darwinism. An old jewish lady that lived in my neighborhood when I was a child always baked wonderful treats for us. One day she was passing out cookies and asked me if I had started school yet. I said yes and she looked me straight in the eyes and said, "They will try and teach you that you are decended from monkies and apes. Don't you believe it! You are made in the image of God". That stuck with me my whole life. She had survived the holocaust.

I thought I hated history all throughout school because it was always presented as series of names and dates to memorize, and any context was generally glossed over. The interesting tidbits that made historical figures seem human were intentionally left out. Then the internet came to be, and I could access complete and unbiased accounts of history from international journalists and historians. Now I am obsessed. There is an amazing documentary on Versailles that pushes all the dirty details into the light. I learned far more from that one KZbin video, than I did from AP European history, and a guided tour of the palace. What/how we are teaching children in schools is criminal.

When I was in college I had the privilege to hear Eva Korr (spelling?) speak about her experience surviving the Holocaust and specifically the twisted "experiments" of Josef Mengele. Eva and her twin sister (whose name I don't remember, I'm sure it can be googled) were experimented on and tortured in concentration camps. The brutality she spoke of was heart wrenching. It really makes you wonder about the world around you when men like this exist.

Children and adults with special needs were used for Experiments and were killed. They were taken away from their family’s and weeks later the family’s got a notification about the death of their loved once, “natural death” of course. We had to watch a documentary “Ärzte unterm hakenkreuz” (difficult to translate 😅) it was horrible and disgusting that people could do something this horrible to other people especially children. I've always loved it when you've "gone off on a tangent" on your true crime videos to talk about history, so a whole series for this is just perfect for me as a history buff! And you research skills are legendary - there is so much misinformation and revisionism involved with a lot of historical events - so if anyone can paint an accurate narrative of past events, it's you! Awesome work as usual!

You might like this bit of history too. Or not. 😢

@@StephanieHarlowe My grandpa passed away when I was too young to know about what they went through, but my grandmother did talk to me about it. Her first born passed away only hours after birth, because she gave birth outside at some random place, in the cold of Eastern Europe without any heating or mercy from the Nazis, of course. With her second child, her body didn't produce milk due to malnutrition. The little food she had, she chewed it first or grind it as best she could, and gave it somehow to the baby...

@@StephanieHarlowe She also lost both her parents during the Holocaust in one of the death marches. They probably died from exposure, starvation and who knows what else. Maybe they were shot for not keeping up, or just for "fun" cause they had guns and they could. She had to keep walking in the freezing cold, or they would've shot her. I often wonder about my great-grandparents. Where they ever properly buried? probably not. She never had a marked grave to come back to. They died in the middle of a torturous walk from one country to another in the freezing cold, by foot and with no proper clothing or food. Can you imagine watching your parents die before your eyes and having to leave them like that to survive? Who knows what roads, houses, shops or forests are there now, without anyone knowing about all the people buried underneath, killed just because of their religion. I've heard so many stories from Holocaust survivors themselves in my country, but it's still so difficult to comprehend that such methodical, thought out plan to wipe out Jews, disabled, homosexuals and Romani actually happened. That such horrible people actually lived. That no one did anything for so freaking long. If only Social Media was a thing back then... And the sad thing is, there are still people who think that way. Antisemitism still exists. Racism still exists. There are people who deny the Holocaust, and one day, there will be no more Holocaust survivors to tell their story, to show their arm with a number tattooed on it, and it's up to me and hopefully my future children (and every decent person imo, especially if their ancestors survived or were murdered during that awful dark time) to keep telling all those horrific tales, so people will know the TRUTH, and will never ever ever forget.

@@inuchan74 I totally understand, don't worry. :) She told me a lot of stories, so did my mom. It's no wonder so many jokes about Jewish moms are about being over-protective and food obsessed. It all comes back to the times where babies were killed in front of their parents, sometimes in their mother or father's arms and people didn't know when they'll eat again. My grandma absolutely HATED to throw away food. she couldn't stand it. She was the strongest, funniest, most loving, caring, and compassionate person I ever knew. Both she and my mom, may they both rest in Heaven. It pained her to see a grandchild with the smallest band-aid on our finger or the slightest cough. She wanted to take away even our smallest insignificant pain or discomfort, even though she went through hell and knew what true pain is. She was proud to be Jewish and was happy to immigrate to Israel, and never thought she was better than anyone else because of her skin color, nationality, the God she believed in or anything else. She did absolutely anything for her kids and grandchildren and always wanted us to be safe. (sorry for the super long comments...I'm crying over here talking about this)

One night was hanging out w/my boyfriend & we went to a friend of his' house. This dude was also taking the class, but w/a different 'textbook' that was more like a nonfiction novel. I swear I read the whole book in 8hrs overnight while my bf & his friend smoked pot. I LOVED it. Wrote my final essay based on what I'd learned in the 'novel-book,' the prof. thought I was a genius that actually gave a f__k. NO. A good book or a good teacher makes a world of difference. I honestly appreciate your videos so much. It really helps me a lot to just listen to you talk and learn about all the things you talk about. I’ve learned a lot and for that I am thankful. Thank you Stephanie!!!

When do you post part 2? I love that you go threw everything so in depth. I've been tasked with teaching my kids true American history, because they don't even teach basic history here until middle school. And then it's watered down crap. I'm going to actually have my kids watch your dark history videos. Also, I don't know where to find it, but years ago there was a documentary featuring survivors talking about the experiments conducted on themselves. I can't remember what it was called, it's an extremely hard watch. But if I can find it I'll post a link. Love your content!
