(NOTE: THIS IS MY FIRST EVER FILM. THERE ARE A FEW GOOFS. IT WAS MADE WITH AN ABSOLUTE ZERO DOLLAR BUDGET, WE PAID WITH OUR HEARTS AND MAXIMUM EFFORTS. I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY!)
When caught at home after a long trip, a young man experiences a night like no other when a seemingly peaceful agenda turns into pure terror.
How long until the darkness becomes the enemy?
This was ORIGINALLY a school project, but I felt confident enough to post it here as a showcase for the start of my work.

One issue i had with this short. For what reason was he chosen by Mr. Dark?

So, its vague on purpose, mostly. I wanted to set up for a sequel, I like mystery and keeping an open end to things. Shorts are fun that way. To answer your question, notice how Benjamin is reluctant to talk to his mother, walks tiredly throughout and even reacts to the positive sign on his table with no emotion. He experiences stress, depression, and anxiety. The Darkness is continuously feeding on the pain and suffering of others, because to demons, those who are in the most pain are the most easily targeted. Every time he kills, his darkness grows stronger. I hope that answers your question and resolves any issues!
