There's something magical about the deep and mournful tone of this lap steel guitar. I tuned it down 2 whole steps to Open Cm, and there is a deep and sustaining resonance that comes from the air chamber inside that really blooms in those low registers. It just made me feel like conjuring those mournful healing blues..

Really can't get enough of your stuff. I go sit in my woods and just fade away to your tunes when I am not making my own. You helped inspire me to make my own lap slide guitar. Made it from an old kitchen table leg, two exhaust clamps and some other odds and ends.

You have to play this twice: once for the sublime guitar mastery and the haunting melody and twice for the incredible studio set. The visuals (studio set-up) match his style perfectly - moody, dark, deep and highly detailed. This really is balm for the soul, both audio and visuals

Two takeaways from this video: First, carbon fiber has a beautifully clear, immensly resonant and (dare I say) warm tone. Second is much more obvious, even to the casual viewer with no knowledge on guitar construction...Justin can take literally ANYTHING, slap a few strings on it and tune, and make the sweetest, darkest, most sultry, smokin' hot beautiful blues just ooze from its very pores! Give him a gorgeous instrument like this, though? Then it transends mere beauty, and reaches right to the depths of your soul!❤️

This is perfect and sets the mood for this cold winter night and letting this resonate through the dark swamps of South Louisiana. It's slow enough to play along to and my hot rodded Peavey Predator really sings it's dark voice in this bad ass open C minor tuning. Thanks Justin for another open tuning to sing out in tooda swamps! It's ethereal! The ghosts inda old main house are digging it too! KEEYAAWSOME ! I'm gonna explore dis tuning some more ah GARONTEE ME!

Mr. Johnson, Thank you for keeping the Blues alive. In this modern world of highspeed, want it now attitudes, you have brought the pace of things back down to Earth. Not many can slow it down enough to actually look deep into the "heart" of things. I saw a clip about Ry Cooder being the last generation's "best slide guitarist". Sir, you have proved that you're the "best" of this generation. Thank you
