And then I discover you. More than a few iconic tunes from Wayfarin Stranger, House of the rising sun and then this. Now I would also admit I like tunes I also can play fairly well. Like In the Pines. Not sure when you tour but you are on my shortlist of fav musicians. Thanks for the beautiful work.

Today I celebrate 45 months sober from all the hurt. I don't think I'd be here today if not for music. It's been in my soul since childhood. In the early '90s, B.B. King himself took me upstairs in his Memphis restaurant and told me things I don't remember, but as my mother loves to tell me that story even she never knew -- it was between my kid self and B.B. I feel like from that day forward music has run through my veins. Thanks again JJ and you'll always have my ear.

The pain I hear in this song is only surpassed by some of the posts I've read here. My heart hurts for all of them. Some said my Dad reminded them of Johnny Cash, I guess he did a bit when he slicked his hair back. The last words my Dad said before he died was "Well, say goodbye to Johnny Cash". A minute or so later he was gone. I will forever think of that whenever I hear this song.
