Dark, Light, and Romantic Academia Design Styles

I feel like dark academia is how I decorated in the 1970s and light academia in 1980s and romantic in 1990s. I feel like I did that already and will not be going that direction but interesting to see.

Our house was similar. We lived in a 100 year old home back in the 80’s and certain rooms were decorated in antiques and we definitely had dark and light academia mixed throughout the house. I did have a touch of dark academia in my dining room in my house back in the Midwest. If I can find pictures, I will show them in the community section.
