​​@@sparkydoodle696this only in oot, if they aren't careful enough it becomes link and his generic black copy, i noticed that some of you never played Twilight princess or majoras mask that came before, the thing that makes oot good is not the lack of quality for being an older game, the other ones also show how much potential a sequel with same play style and similar story has, these 3 games know how to be different and similar from each other and that's why they are so good that quality doens't even matter(majora's mask) and that they could still reutilize the same play style but with more quality (Twilight princess)

@@inker_monkeyyup and when that happens the fight only gets harder, he doesn’t only copy your same movements but he will also turn out to be more aggressive and more determined to kill you, if you jump with the sword right into him he will dodge it and inmediatly do the same thing dealing damage, he will start to attack first and chase you constantly like he has now a mind of his own and not a reflection anymore

And he has more HP he more heart containers you currently have meaning in 3 hearts run he very easy but if you have let's say 15 hearts he becomes a lot harder

​@@moustachelink8919 weirdly, compared to the n64 version, in the 3ds version Dark Link's a bit buggy and many can see it for themselves on that version via using only the Master Sword. from slower sword-swings due to the framerate on OOT 3ds, to strangely, literally never doing a jump attack counter. in 3ds he leaps sideways and upwards in a glitchy state when you do a jump attack, to the point you have to spam jump attack into a wall, and make both links models overlap as you jump attack, which makes 3ds Dark Link finally jump attack. 3ds Dark Link also has a weird quirk where he will not counter-attack Link on his thrusts every 2nd jump on Link's sword if you spam thrusts. but as far as I recall, N64 Dark Link will Counter Link's Thrust just about every time without fail. another obscure, and weirdly very unknown thing for years, is N64 Dark Link can actually do a Spin attack, but under certain circumstances since he never does it normally. from what I remember, it requires a combination of Deku Nuts/arrows as well as spamming spin attack to force him to do a Spin attack. when in specifically his aggressive phase, he can consistently do it as he reappears and you spam spin attack. I assume the reason for Dark Link's forced spin attack in these conditions is because he has no room to backflip away from it or for some reason, cannot do so. so he uses the spin attack to attack you.

Fun fact, there's an unused AI behavior for Dark Link in the game If you use Nayru's Love, which is impossible to have by legitimate means by that point in the game, Dark Link will turtle behind his shield a bunch

there's also an unused AI behavior in N64 Dark Link's Spin attack, since he never uses that normally. but you can actually force it to happen in N64, via from what I recall, a combination of Deku nuts and spamming spin attack(you have to do this to be able to force Dark Link to spin attack). but he has to be in his aggressive phase for it to work. eventually he will be forced to do a spin attack. from what I remember this specifically only happens if he reappears by link as he's spamming spin attacks. Dark Link for a strange reason, will use a Spin attack instead of backflipping away. this is a very obscure thing for N64 Dark Link, but it works pretty consistently

Honestly if the had just switched Dark Link and the amoeba’s places in this dungeon, I think people would have enjoyed the water temple a lot more than they had. Granted, Dark Link would probably need a move or two more if they were upgraded to a full boss, but the setup and execution is good enough as it is. With that said, thank you for making such an enjoyable animation!

This is probably my favorite Terminal Montage fight out there. Dark Link actually does so well against Link, and actually kills Navi, meaning if Link died it would have been over. And the fact that he turns so demonic near the end makes it so much better, along with the music change. Excellent work!

The Edge of Green. Man, Radiant Historia felt like it could've been so much more. Just two parallel timelines? They never even recolored the main character's sword after Atlus told them to ditch their vision. A game about a magic parallel dimension traveling sword would've been so much cooler than a game about some blonde guy with an inexplicably blue sword that he doesn't actually pick up until the end of the game. This may or may not have been intentional, but with this being the TM Universe and Link being named "Pepto Bismol", it's actually metaphorically ironic that he's against DL, who happens to be colored black. Namely, like the known side-effect that turns your tongue (also sometimes your stool) black from Bismuth subsalicylate. In essence, "Pepto Bismol" is fighting his own side effect.

I love it where Navi said "Conquer Yourself" that the Subtitles of the Original Video showed the best ways to beat him, no target-locking for Horizontal Swings, since he cannot always Block them, using the hammer to hit him behind his shield (doesnt always work), Dins Fire, spamming Spin Attacks and Crouch Stab (with Biggoron Sword) are the best ways to beat him.

Dark Link fights always happen the same way with me: getting rekt using the sword, so I throw my entire inventory at him. Din’s Fire, Megaton hammer, pocket Deku nuts, the works.

Did you know? It’s actually possible to win against Dark Link with nothing but the Master Sword. Depending on how you hold the Analog stick, you’ll get either a Horizontal Slash or a Vertical Slash. By alternating between the two for each strike, you’ll eventually snag a hit against your Shadowy Self. Since most players only hold forward and attack, Link will do nothing but Vertical Slash and get nowhere (as seen here)

Yeah, beating Dark Link at his own game, swordplay only, was definitely one of the most epic things you can ever do to challenge yourself in Zelda. One of the hardest too, doing it that way was harder than the Ganon fight.

You know, the Dark Link fight is like foreshadowing of things to come. In Twilight Princess, in a similar location, Link fights OoT Link, and that Link is surrounded by darkness. Pair that with all the time travel shenanigans and this fight could very well be something of a paradox.
