What do you do if someone banish your 1 dark magician?

Good question bro! We have two options: 1. Summon Magician of Chaos via Chaos Form or Secrets of Dark Magic. Chaos form requires monster tributes that equal 7 stars (eg. Illusion of Chaos). Secrets of Dark Magic requires monster tributes that equal 7 or greater stars but must include DMG. 2. Use Nadir Servant or Dogmatika Maximus' effect to send Deep Sea Prima Donna to the GY. Prima Donna's effect allows me to target a banished card and shuffle it into the deck.

Another tip: don't use DM too early unless there is a real advantage to do so. Try to mill out your deck first. This increases your chances of gaining the resources to recover DM if he does get banished.

Something I've recently started doing in my DM deck is adding possessed cards. Awakening of the Possessed Nefariouser/Greater Inari special summons from deck using a level4 or lower earth/fire monster and a face up spellcaster, I link it off and the card it reborns and search Unpossessed when it goes to the graveyard. If any monster is destroyed by card effect or battle, I can special summon a spellcaster monster from my deck with 1500 DEF. I summon Cartesia for follow up fusion plays. It's pretty consistent since it summons from deck. I just use any spellcaster and one of my handtraps as a normal summon, then combo off from there. I also use bystials and Horus as well for more disruption, managed to get it down to 40 as well.... 😅

@@Ddoge2024 I just made the deck actually last week so I haven’t had time to bring it in ranked yet, but it has a few layers. Horus alone can win duels and the dark magician knight fusion protects your bystials and Horus back row. I also run shaddoll fusion and predaplant link also well since it can send DM and summon Windna, that requires your opponent to have a special summoned monster from extra deck to send from deck though. You could definitely sub that for branded fusion, but I do like the floodgates.

I used to run a deck set up similar to this with blue eyes chaos max. If you had eternal soul and magician of chaos on the field you could trigger magicians affect destroy itself summon Max dragon to the field and then use eternal soul to bring back magician of chaos

It’s quite a lowkey under-utilised effect of Magician of Chaos but when it pulls off, it’s fire! Being able to bring out Chaos Max is a hack!

I have one more question. I always wondered when you use soul servant to put a card on the top of the deck, then you banish soul servant to draw, but sometimes that effect doesn't activate. Why is that?

You need dark magician, dm girl, or mahad on the field or in the grave to be able to draw.

Personally, I would have to say this deck has given me the most success. Give it a go and let me know what you think! I’m reluctant on super poly because it’s too resource intensive taking up too much extra deck space. I may look into it more for a DM branded deck in future.

Dang. I tried using this deck but ended up losing like 80-90% of my matches and within 2 days went from platinum 1 down to plat 4 😢 I don’t have the same game sense for predicting all their combos like a player of your caliber. That hurt, but all good you gave me hope that other DM users can do it 🥹
