Liking that Dragoon is back and with Anaconda, it's just as easy to summon as DPE and wouldn't be surprised if Dragoon mini package was placed in almost each deck.

majority of the cards are from the structure deck, there are only a few you have had to pull or craft.

To get to Secret Village to your hand ASAP and CB Rainbow Dragon could be used as fusion material for Dragoon if you got a Dark Magician and Secrets of Dark Magic already in your hand. It's not a bad mini engine if you can reliably discard the trap.

If you draw it which is normally a low chance the only way to fix it is to use illusion of chaos

You can use Eternal Soul with Dragoon as well. Even destroyed, it will not affect Dragoon. Dragoon really pops off while you have Dark Magicians and Maxx C and get the card advantage. Or better yet play Piercing the Darkness. I noticed you were struggling to draw more cards. Get Mahad, DM girl in the grave with soul servant to draw 3 cards

Why dragoon no gain 1000 atk?

Dragoon only gain the atk boost if he destroy the card was he negate the effect. But you cannot destroy a card already in the GY, making impossible to Dragoon get their atk bonus.
