Meet Al last tour, got to pay my respect to his in studio mystique. Very humble and rest of band were point on to an starry eyed fan. Reason I am alive and sober. Thanks Uncle Al.

Al is one of the best people in music business. He’s the cat that makes us all remember the love of the art, the creativity, and the real freedom of it all. Artist get bogged down just like everyone else and to me he is a Shaman or Chief of the real rock tribe. He heals us. Btw, Dave, if you’re reading this, I had a good time working out together (I never work out) and laughing outside that Sunset BLVD Gym smoking cigarettes making fun of the Health Karen’s of LA.

Great to hear! The album 'trilogy' of Land Of Rape and Honey, Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste and Psalm 69 are JUST PERFECT! Try some Revolting Cocks and if you want I can sort you with an epub of Als book too. It's INCREDIBLE! he talks about stuff he touches on briefly here.

Al is a cool guy. Met him at his house on the west side of El Paso by the rio grande. He gave me a mini piano and other things. His wife at the time was cool too. He told many stories and never judged or said no when it came to playing guitar or piano at his house. He had a acoustic guitar in his living room that was nice. He was always cool and asked questions about me and my family. Dude is a cool.

On the Rollins situation - a similar thing happened when my band Deadcuts opened for Killing Joke a few years back although the band were cool their Tour manager at the time wasnt happy and had heard about our past reputation. The irony was wed stopped using by then but it just goes to show how junk can put a lot of people in the business off.Anyway Im now friends with the Tour manager and everything got straightened out but yeah it can happen and the moral of the story is try and avoid that particular drug.

Cool to see ya here mate, big fan and was very sad to hear the news this year. Hope you and the lads are doing all right. Been on the gear and tablets, crack, drink etc for over 12 years and was up to the gills with methadone for years too. Took getting locked up to get clean and fit so always have gravitated towards artists like that, Burroughs, Al, Pete, Nico etc. Anyway wish you all the best and thank you for creating some amazing music!

haha, a buddy out in AZ. first turned me on to DMT when he asked me one day in a calm voice... hey man, you wanna smoke some toad? I was like... What the? He was like, no seriously...he then produced a substance that resembled coarse cocaine on a black plate, then scraped some up, and put some cig ashes in a pot pipe, and put the "toad" on the ashes then proceeded to smoke...It looked like, melted like, sounded like, but didn't taste like crack...the taste reminded me of melted grapes, but ohh man the next 20 min.was incredibly intense...we happened to be watching some old grindhouse 70's flick...everything looked like the Black Hole Sun video by Soundgarden, those melting, warping faces. : ) it is harmlessly harvested from the zit-like glands of the Colorado River toad then the frog is realeased un harmed, this amphibian appears annually in the Sonoran desert for a couple months in late summer Aug-Sep...
