I really like the selection process, how you show which pieces are chosen, and why. Great presentation!

Love your conversions! I’ve been inspired to paint a maggotkin army by your last painting video as it looks awesome and seems quite quick and easy! Keeping creating more great vids

Cool! In the next one I paint this one, which means that I'll show how I paint some armour plates as well. That might be useful for the maggotkin!

When you first started using the weird rabbit head as an arm I was like "WTF is he doing?" but it ended up looking seamless! Crazy outside-the-box thinking. Can't wait to see this guy painted! One question about applying crackle paint to models: Is it delicate or at risk of crumbling off when handling in normal games? Or is it generally pretty durable after priming?

Cheers! I really enjoy finding strange bits to use. Especially when making Nurgle miniatures, as one can get away with almost anything!

Marvelous. You've given me the itch to work on my Dark Mechanicum again. I've heard that guitar wire is hard to work with, but the stuff you used looks like it moves like thread; is it a particular size or type that's so cooperative, or have I just been listening to the wrong people?
@wilhelminiatures69053 жыл бұрын
Cheers! Thats great! I see too few Dark Mechanicus creations out there. I'm not completely sure about the guitar wire. I bought a few different ones from a local instrument store. I think this one is from an acoustic guitar. I believe they are a lot softer than the ones for electrical. I have a few other wires that are almost impossible to bend.

Another great video! Do you have a list of tools you use? Specifically the plastic cutters?
@wilhelminiatures69053 жыл бұрын
Good idea! I'll ad a list in the future :) These are the plastic clippers from Games Workshop. They are a bit expensive compared to other similar products. However, they stay sharp really long and seem like a better quality than the cheaper options.

Great video! What is the red wire called? Is it just plastic? The only thing I have that’s similar is metal wire with plastic coating and it’s quite difficult to coil and snake as it’s wants to stay quite straight.
@wilhelminiatures69053 жыл бұрын
Cheers! The red wire is regular electrical wire. This is from a large roll I got from a hobby train store. However, you can find it in all kinds of electrical equipment. Or you can use the cords from old headphones to get the same effect :)

@@wilhelminiatures6905 oh wow, I never thought of using that, I’ve been using garden wire! Pretty sure I have some electrical wire already… Thanks!

What do you use for brushes? They seem to live a very hard life. Do you just buy cheap ones and throw them away?
@wilhelminiatures69053 жыл бұрын
A lot of the time I use cheaper large brushes to quickly get down the colours. The ones I use here are large flat and rounded ones from ‘søstrene grene’. Then I use smaller brushes with better quality (mostly GW artificer brushes) for highlights and details. I don’t throw away brushes that often. When they are very worn, I use them for glue, texture, oils and even as sculpting tools. Stippling stiff old brushes over putty/greenstuff results in some nice textures, perfect for monster skin!

What kind of guitar wire is that?
@wilhelminiatures69053 жыл бұрын
I don't really remember. I have bought a couple of different ones from a local instruments store, and some are much harder to work with than this one. This one might be from an acoustic guitar? I think electrical guitar wires are a lot harder.
