a short jam today, with the Crave, with whom I do far too little, and the MicroFreak.
Maybe you're wondering why I don't finally show the MicroFreak's vocoder. Quite simply, a vocoder is not one of my favorite means of jamming. I just can't do anything with it. That's why I'm not going to use the vocoder.
Please don't be angry with me, but you really can't find everything good, you have to be true to yourself. I am absolutely grateful that Arturia integrated the vocoder, but I have nothing in it.
In addition to the vocoder update, Arturia has brought another free soundpack that I will be showing in the next few days.

Most of the Time I am using the Specular Reverb v3 for my jams.
Sometimes the NTS-1 with the Cathedral Preset or just the iPad.

I suppose you could plunk down for a Moog Mother 32 and a Korg Minilogue. Or, you could just chill with a Freak and the Little Orange Bomb. Very cool work. Bravo, good sire.

I use them both on the regular. I started out thinking that I wouldn't ever need more than the MicroFreak, but the Crave makes for nice, deep and growling bass. It's no slouch in the lead, either.

This was awesome. I am just starting out in the world of Synths and bought myself a Microfreak. It is a little overwhelming but so much fun! Are you using a standard preset for your keyboard play or is it custom. Has a really nice ambient vibe.

most of the time I am using the Basic Wave Oscilator or the Wavetable 9 or V.Analog or my own presets. I do not use presets of the MicroFreak

Hey thank you for listening and for your Feedback. The connection is easy. Use an MIDI DIN 5 Cable between MIDI Out of the MF and MIDI IN of the Crave. The only tricky thing is to adjust the right MIDI Channel at the Crave. Smart way: change the channel at the MF till it fits.

I can connect them via Midi to be able to control one with the another but how to connect them to be able to hear them together? Do I need some kind of a mixer or audio interface?

@@marcinp3343 Yes, definately. You need at least a 2 channel mixer .. but better get a 4 channel mixer cause ppl saying no one only has 2 synths his whole live. Search for the Behringer Xenyx QX1002 USB for example... that was my 1. mixer I recorded my videos the first 2 years

Any tips on how you made that Microfreak lead sound? What oscillator type? Sounds great!

Ever and Ever ... use Saw... my favorite is Wavetable 9 ... set the Attack on 30 and the Decay on 50. Filter Cutoff on 40 and use the mtrix to attack the triangle LFO on the Cutoff .... really slow.

How you find crave VS volca bass for such intense sequencer duties? What is more practical in use? Can you change sequences on crave seamlessly? How many are there? Do they overlap or you could buy vbass and later upgrade to crave?

My primary buy is always the vbass cause of it's awesome workflow... The crave has limited possibilities ...but sounds nice .

The Crave's sequencer isn't nearly as user friendly as the Volca's. It is an awesome synth though. The sound is MASSIVE, and you have lots of patch options. I highly recommend it.

Big fan of the Crave, and frequently play sequences with it. However, I never use the Crave’s own sequencer and always run something from- say - Rozeta into it. Is this cheating? Btw, phenomenal depth can be achieved with a little touch of Eventide’s ShimmerVerb...

press shift + the position in the Sequence you will change as number (1 to 8) then the step is active and you can no press a note you want to have played on this step .... thats the workflow....
