This movie is very good and teaches us some good lessons: 1) we must be careful when taking justice into our own hands, so as not to commit an injustice, 2) not every person with mental problems is dangerous, 3) we must be careful with our children, the girl's mother is totally careless

What a good movie. Good performances, weather, suggestion like in a good horror story, and all with a lot of elegance. I saw this film as a kid and I still like it, especially because innocence is maintained until the end.

When he fell into the trimmer , instead of showing blood, the scene switched to the strawberry jam being splattered on the breakfast platter. I thought that was cleverly edited, leaving it up to the viewer's Imagination.

Actors could have real bodies back then, like regular folk. Look at Charles Durning: Overweight, short, face like a potato, but what a fantastic actor he was!

Larry Drake from L.A Law , he played the hadicapped guy in that serie of lawyers , he was the scare crow and the handicapped bubba in this movie . i read that he played benny in the lawyer serie so good that the viewers thought he was handicapped for real in real life , great actor , may he rest in peace , he died in 2016 .

I've still got this on VHS at my mum's. We used to watch it over and over when I was growing up in the early 80s. I'm surprised the tape isn't chewed up! My heart still sinks when bubba says "Bubba didn't do it"! 🥺

My fave scene is where the portly postman C.D. runs atop a cemetary slab like a cat then leaps and flies 30 ft in the air to land on his bud! 🤣🤣🤣 Couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes. Other than that it's a very underrated scary movie. A joy to watch. thx Deb 🤩
