So much fun hanging out with you, your sister is too cute, and your furry assistant. I just want to say, that recently my best friend died and it was tuff, actually really difficult. So I decided to get some assistance from my health care provider. I attended several weekly sessions, plus I learned so much about myself. I so admire you so for sharing your challenges with anxiety. It took courage to speak with your boss, way to go! Great Vlog, it was entertaining, fun and interesting. Amazing Blackbird design quilt, "oh say" as Laura would say. 😂❤

Thanks, Susan! I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of your best friend. That must have been extremely painful. I'm currently in weekly therapy and that's been a big help to me. I'm really grateful that I have access to that resource. I feel like I'm getting better, slowly but surely, and consistently putting in the work. Thanks for watching the vlog!

The bakery, the baked goods and your sister, wonderful! Anxiety has wreaked havoc in my life, especially at work in surgery, so glad I retired last year. Glad you found the strength to talk to your boss and have the support there. Ooh the silk, I could just frame it and look at it in the skeins and be happy. Color takes up about 95% of my thoughts. I had a library that had marvelous book sales days also. I would buy bags full. My best haul, however was a beautiful quilt they were raffling off - 5 chances for $5! What a bargain it was. Beautiful fall colors and piecing with a back that had one of the blocks enlarged and centered on the pieced back. It still hangs on the stair railing on my present house. I have been enjoying your old applique videos this weekend. Thanks.

Just so’s you know, many long armers offer quilt basting as well as general quilting. Usually for a very reasonable price.

I really enjoyed this peek into your life. The silks look so lovely as you organize them. I loved seeing your sister’s bakery! It looks adorable - and the baked goods look amazing. On one of my recent trips to visit my daughter in San Rafael, we went into the city - I remembered hearing you talk about your sister’s bakery, but I wasn’t completely sure of the name and then she thought it was weird that I had heard about it from a cross stitcher on KZbin. So good to see you. I enjoy your videos. Olivia, you may want to consider having a long armer baste your quilt for a nominal fee. I'm too old to be crawling on the floor or leaning over a large table. I recently had a quilt basted by a long armor with long tacking stitches about every 5 inches or so in a grid pattern. Too late for this quilt but maybe next time. You did a wonderful job.

Friggin' basting! Honestly, for me, it's all down hill after the top is done, lol. I think hand quilting it will be a fun adventure, though!
