Thank you for sharing your anxiety, I get anxiety about driving and it has gotten much worse over the years. Catastrophizing could be my middle name at this point, I am the worst and do a lot of self talk daily to work through it and generally snap myself out of it. My walking in the morning helps a lot and really being mindful about the things I can control and those I can't and trying to sort all that out. SO excited for your quilty estate haul and the thread sorting is so satisfying to see!

You are bringing about happy memories from my growing up years. San Leandro is where my aunty lived, where we went to Mervyns for school clothes shopping every year lol. Then my grandma and another aunty moved from San Fran to San Leandro which made me happy because I was scared of the bay bridge going to grandmas lol

Olivia I am really enjoying your vlogs so much! It's like having a nice visit with you. All of those glorious patterns and silks! I can't keep my eyes off of the quilt on the back of your couch... I want it 😉 I have had a lifetime of anxiety issues as well, and I have finally re-evaluated how I choose to spend my time. My friend has huge birthday gatherings and I would get so stressed going. I would end up saying ridiculous things when people would talk to me. Now I just meet with her 1-1. I'm glad you were able to make it to your group. Sometimes I am not anxious about where I am going, but I experience transition anxiety going from home to somewhere else. It's tricky isn't it? I totally know what you mean about transition anxiety and "tricky" is the perfect word. I could definitely use the help punching tags, lol! I wish I could gather a bunch of stitchers in a room and we could just play with silks all day and make pretty kits to send out into the world. I got my partner to help punch tags and he came back five minutes later with a broken punch! Not surprisingly, he doesn't have the gentle touch of a needleworker. Oh well!

Thank you for sharing your life - I loved the unboxing - all those Carriage House charts are wonderful. And the silks! So beautiful! Your honesty and openness describing your anxiety were very brave - I’m glad that the meet up was a good experience- I saw a lot of knitters in the group.. Knitters, like stitchers and quilters are very welcoming and accepting (for the most part). My knitting group zoom meetings every Friday through the pandemic saved my sanity - unlike other Zoom meetings where I had to struggle to get a word in - the knitting group operated in quiet companionship. We continue now, alternating between zoom meetings and inperson get togethers at our local yarn shop, followed by frozen custard or gelato (both options only a block from the yarn shop) I was amazed by the estate sale video - I thought I had a lot of yarn and cross stitch materials- but that was astounding! Looking forward to your next vlog, wishing you well.

Olivia, how fun the Vlog is ...I am just catching up with them. I was in England visiting my sweet daughter and am just back! So it seems I have missed the news about Sunny, so sweet. We adopted a 4 year old Standard Poodle a year after losing our sweet 15 yr old Lab. Georgia has just fit in so wonderfully. I love Threadwork Primitives is great and I have not seen several of what you received. Thank you so much for sharing all the lovelies! Blessings

Ugh, I'd made an agreement with myself to not buy any more patterns until I finish some things but I have a feeling that isn't going to last :-) I've received shop kits with floss on cards like you are talking about and it's great. Would be greater if they were labeled but they generally are not. They were just made from average card stock.

I used to hide my anxiety when I was younger. I did it so well, my husband didn't realize that I had it. And then with all the health scares, I broke. Sharing the feelings help so much. Maybe it's the fact that you're acknowledging that its there that makes it less scary? (((Hugs))) I'm glad you still went to the meet up.

Anxiety attacks when I drive…it could be 20 degrees out yet I will have the ac and windows rolled down! My sister said just call me while ur driving if anxiety attacks hit….so I did. She didn’t answer 😂 I just talked to her answering machine…mostly reprimanding her the whole drive lol.

I know no one there. I have visions of driving up, checking in on Thursday and spending the next three days alone in my hotel room stitching and watching Flosstube because I can’t make myself walk into a room of 100 strangers. UGH 😩

I grew up thinking I was the only person on the planet with anxiety. Mine would manifest into hives all over my face, neck and chest. I resorted to wearing turtlenecks even in the summer. It made me hate myself. I am much better now that I am older, thank goodness. Thanks for sharing. Sunny is adorable. I love how he took over the video!
