To my knowledge, this is the original version, so...is there another version I'm not aware of? I thought this was identical to the Smash version.

@@mikepalmer1676 the smash version is Dark Pit’s battle theme in Kid Icarus Uprising. This version is the air battle theme for Chapter 6 of Kid Icarus Uprising, referred to as just “Dark Pit.” This version is the better one imo.

The original is for guitar and has a Spanish feel to it, so it sounds a little more moody/exciting. Plus, Dark Pit is the name of the character, not just an emo phase the character Pit goes through (although the game, Uprising, definitely makes jokes about that)

@@thefaceofchlo5390 iirc, Dark Pit is just a reflection of normal Pit. Where normal Pit is loyal to a goddess, Dark Pit is fiercely independent, where normal Pit is kind and selfless Dark Pit is abrasive and is usually working towards his own agenda. However Dark Pit isn't evil in any sense, he's a bit of a jerk but he has own his own set of morals he follows.

This is not named “dark pit” as in a hole (pit). It refers to the reflection of the normal Pit (Pit is the name) who is named dark pit. He isn’t evil but simply doesn’t follow the “good” or “goddess” side of things.
