I am currently a 09S in RSP, Co A, Kent Armory. How does one become a FA30? It’s my understanding Functional Area is an “augmentation,” for the lack of a better term, to an officer branch. Are FA30’s sourced from specific branches?

You can apply for Functional Area 50 (Information Operations) as a senior Captain. The Branch does really matter. You have to attend a qualification course, pass and then you will be qualified.

@@cascaderifles81 * FA-30 ------ Yes, branch immaterial, based on your YG's IN/OUT chart. It does help if you have some targeting experience, though that's not required as you will learn what you need during IOQC.
