First game is my favourite type of game. The "terran is pinned down to X bases, has 30-40 workers or 10 minutes, still owns everything when moving out". Honestly, byun might've drawn this out for another 20 minutes if he was to just take 1 base at the time and it could possibly have even resulted in a win for him.

Its insane to me how well Dark played game 1 and it still took 10-15 extra minutes to bleed out a Terran on arguably 2-3 bases. It literally takes a zerg controlling 3/4 of the map to beat a 3 base Terran lol.

After losing his main, Byun was turtling with no real hope of winning. And it was closer to 6 bases than 3, which is why he had trouble defending. Also, the zerg's win condition (when taking the whole map and going 90+ workers) is the terran exhausting their resources, so naturally the game will take a while.

​@@nfzeta128 There are means to ending the game early, but it's riskier so the zerg didn't opt for it. Or do you think Swarm Hosts should normally outright kill their opponents? Obviously not, it's a harassment tool, which is all Dark was playing for. It's also obvious Dark was just having fun with Nydus that game, so trying to use it as an example of "Terran OP" is just silly. Anything else he did would've ended the game faster, could've made 50 mutas and that would've been game.

Unlikely to be the meta except on macro-heavy maps. At lower levels, it's literally possible to kill someone with a single medivac full of marines if they don't already have enough units. Hellions/hellbats especially would just rip through slow zerglings (slow bc gasless).

Byun is good, but he doesnt understand you need to keep the Zerg in control at match start. you cant let them get to 3 hatch for free or its almost an instant win for them. he needs to learn from watching Clem. the "patient" Terran is dead at GM level now.

Why can't 2v2, especially with Zerg, have teammates on opposite sides of a 4 corner map? I think that would be way more interesting, encouraging counter attacks, and less like 1v1 with a sidekick.

Dark is insane, by far the best Korean player right now, and along with Rogue, they make it perfectly clear why the Zerg have dominated for such a long time. They adapt the best, and they are the most skilled players. They continue to make Terrans look incompetent even when the races themselves are so far apart in power.
