Fotis Thomos They both were assholes. Despite Ulrich having an affair, he realised it was wrong and he was an amazing father. He just wanted to be back with them again. I don’t think an affair means you should be locked up forever to die. A lot of characters deserved so much better despite their flaws. Ulrich was my first favourite character in season 1. I was upset about his final fate in the end.

Look at the innocence and happiness on old Ulrich's face at 0:58 - 0:59 . Such a pure expression. It breaks my heart so much that he had to die like that, all alone with the hope of Katharina coming to save him. 😭😭😭 Also at 1:09, look at how his shivering hands stop shaking once Kathatina touches him. 😭❤He did love her but failed to actually exhibit his love in reality. Ulrich was a bad person but loved his son deadly much, and as a reward, he got to see him one last time. But Katarina... bully or not when younger, she was a good person now. She had a horrible mother/childhood, always cheated on, lost child... and never ever got her "reward". I know it's not Disney, but it's the ONLY thing that I didn't like about Dark. I would have loved that she had at least one little thing that made her happy.. Oh well. I loved this show so much anyways...

I don’t like the third Season. There are so many storylines like the one of Katharina and Ulrich. But they‘re focusing on the storyline of Jonas and Martha and so they just kill everybody else so they don’t have to Write a Story... Hannah, Peter, Katahrina, Ulrich... they all came way too Shirt in this Season. I mean: „Ulrich“. „Katharina“. „I‘ll get you our of here. I Promise“ thats all they had to say to each other??? Why did they Focus on Martha and Jonas??? There are so many interesting storylines which all have the same Ending: Dead. Thats Not Really good. Katharina survived the apocalipse. In Season 3 it Looks like she has about 5 Minutes of screentime. Why? Why do they just give Charlotte about 4 minutes? She was also rescued.. they should have Lay more Focus on the other storylines

I agree on some parts. I did kind of resent the fact that we were now presented with "Jonas and Martha are the main characters now, deal with it" whereas before there wasn't really a main character but many interwoven storylines and fates. On the other hand if they had kept going with the two parallel worlds they might have outstayed their welcome if they had told the story all over again slightly differently. I thought those small conclusions to the story were brilliant and utterly heartbreaking. Katharina being killed by her own mother and Ulrich standing there waiting for his wife to come to the rescue even though she is already dead - I honestly don't know how you could draw that out and make it break your heart more.

In case you missed the point, everyone in the show has died at least at some point. And not to mention the majority of them including Jonas and Martha disappeared in the end. If you're focusing on the death of characters so much you've probably missed the story the show is trying to tell

why the f*** did they write this so that instead of getting Ulrich out, Katharina gets murdered by her own mother? This show is so pessimistic. There's something missing from a spiritual point of view. German atheistic philosophy? And it isn't resolved by crowbarring in a happy ending in the last episode.

If kathrina was not murdered then the locket would never have come to martha and to jonas and to again martha. Think about tiny details they have covered.

This is a show about people not being able to escape their tragic fates and the goal of Jonas' journey is to break the loop so none of this tragedy ever happens. Plus, both of them would've sent Mikkel forward through time and Jonas wouldn't be born, which can't happen since Jonas already exists. Katharina getting murdered by her mother makes sense in the story and thematically.

Dark series also shown reincarnation as a quantum Immortality concept, Katherina died in first world and reborns in second World, she then died in second World during apocalypse but her soul remembers her suffering during the lost of Mikkel that's why she was hugging Mikkel during apocalypse, Peter died in first world and reborns in second World, that's why he was feeling like he have met Jonas, when Jonas first time came to his world, because he have given him therapy, Martha have also born in second World that's why she was saying that when I met you Jonas I felt I met you before, but Jonas born again in his own universe but in Scrodinger cat theory, quantum immortality, that's why he never born in second World because he was always present in his world, his soul never gone their to reborn. But they all reborn in third world through different parents and reunited. The paradise.
