Man, I miss Erkka's influence in the band today! The first 3 albums were truly amazing, the 4th still very good, but with the Attack of Orym, something went wrong in post production. Heidi's beautiful voice is lost in synths, choires and overproduction. At least the first 4 albums are a timeless testament to the peak of this great metalband! And who knows, maby the next album will be even better than all others... 🤘🏻

This song is magnificent in every way! The lyrics made me cry tears of pure joy... this song is very sad but truly empowering at the same time. I feel connected with Luna already and this is just the first song I listened to from her powerful journey. I can't wait to listen to the whole album :'). Dark Sarah managed to replace Nightwish as my favorite band. How did they manage this? They gave me a story and characters that I fell in love with (Sarah & Dragon forever!!!). Of course I couldn’t have fallen in love with the story without the music being incredible as well (the Golden Moth album is a masterpiece!). This is why I am so looking forward to their new album. I hope to love the new story of Luna as much as I did Sarah’s. (Don’t misunderstand me, I still love Nightwish and consider them the ultimate symphonic metal band, but I personally feel a more personal connection to Dark Sarah). PS: please support Dark Sarah’s Indiegogo campaign for the new album!!!

My feeling from this video - and the Indiegogo teaser video for the GRIM album - is that Luna (who has Dark Sarah's soul) is remembering, and singing to, the Dragon...the gargoyle (which looks like a dragon to me) shown at 4:46 sure seems to hint at that! Also, since the gargoyles on medieval cathedrals were placed there to help ward off evil, I think that perhaps the wolf guarding Luna's grave (before Luna's resurrection) is actually the Dragon doing penance for his betrayal of Dark Sarah. 🤔

I love your theory! I had the same sort of idea because didn't Luna start as a (golden?) moth? And since JP is voicing the black wolf it makes so much sense. I really want Sarah and the Dragon to have a happier ending and, which it is by no means guaranteed, theories like this make me hopeful

@@afloyd1779 Here's a theory I posted on the Grim Trailer, based on what's known about Grim so far: a wounded moth is brought to human life, reflective of the golden moth that was the form of Sarah/Dark Sarah's unified soul; a centuries-old black wolf guards the moon-moth-woman's resting place, "with a howl like a cry," and The Wolf And The Maiden track is going to feature our dearly adored JP Leppäluoto, who did the role of Dragon in the Chronicles trilogy. From the lyric line in Sky Sailing (and corresponding scene in the Chronicles) about "And who knows if we have met? There somewhere some other time When we were different in So many ways" Sarah and Dragon both concur they can't shake the feeling that they knew each other in another life. SO, the speculation is: When Dragon used the Time Turner, he used it to turn to either a past or future life in which he and Sarah met, knowing that even if he got his wings back, he'd still have an immortal history of being alone and an eternal future of that same loneliness without her; WHICH IS HOPEFULLY WHAT WE'LL SEE IN GRIM?! AM I DESPERATE?! I AM A HOPELESS ROMANTIC SAP, SO MAYBE I AM! But hey, the answer to the puzzle that won Dark Sarah Dragon's key in the first place was that love is a power stronger than death!

Another thing that's really cemented my belief that the black wolf is the Dragon is because on an instagram lost, they said the wolf's name is Garmr, which in Norse mythology was a wolf who guarded the underworld. Now remember how our dear Dragon used to rule the Underworld when we first met him, in Dance With the Dragon, it really does seem to be more than coincidence

I have followed Heidi in her Dark Sarah incarnation since the first album which I thought was so uniquely quirky it gave her a stand out identity, the dry humour suffused the strong musical structures with immense character. I felt the same way about the second album "The Puzzle" with the strong music having the slightly greater weight that time. The third album drifted slightly down and hade a feeling of plateauing out and whilst very good lacked the distinctiveness, tracks that I immediately want to hear again before moving on. My personal feeling is this track from the new album has more of the strength I liked in the earlier albums and is almost there again, but just lacks a little nudge upwards compositionally to be absolutely great, I think that Heidi should team up with another composer who can add that little extra because she is very close. I think her potential is huge, to be one of the greats of this genre, she just needs a fellow musical Wizard alongside to add that final part of the spell.
