Is there still a reason to consider an entry level "cinema projector" like Epson qb1000, JVC np5, nz500, sony wx5000? I think ill just go with the valerion..

Its my opinion that the Valerion kicks the 3500pro's tail with EBL on or off. Period! Thanks for this comparison Nikos!

I also want to add. I want to make a 130-inch image on this celexon Dynamic Slate ALR 135 screen. I will watch it from about 3 m. The projector will hang on the ceiling about 280 cm from the screen to the projector lens because I can't hang it any further. Do you think this screen will work and won't give very large laser spots in such a close throw from the ceiling arrangement? I would be very grateful for your answer. I know that you use such a screen every day and your answer is very important to me. Best regards and thank you

if I decide to place the projector on a stand to minimize extra wiring required for ceiling , what is the closest distance it can be positioned in front of the screen? Also, what would be the ideal height for optimal performance?

Hi. I'm waiting for Valerion pro 2... I'll wait calmly, even if I have to, until March. That's because I have hisense/vidda c2 ultra and it gives me a lot of satisfaction. But I want to replace the screen. I have a regular gray screen 126 inches with amplification of 0.8. I'm thinking of replacing it with Celexon Dynamic Slate ALR 135 inches. Do you think that this Celexon Dynamic Slate ALR 135 inches screen will be suitable for Valerion pro 2. I watch from less than 3m on the gray screen that I have I can't see almost any spots. But I'm afraid that there will be a lot of laser spots on this Celexon. Thanks for the info

Hey Nikos, again fantastic video! The EBL really fascinates me, incredible black floor and depth, but in the video the LTV-3500 showed more brighter highlights. May I ask which screens you used? Awol with the Celexon HomeCinema Plus and the Valerion with the Dynamic Slate ALR or normal white 1.0-1.1 gain screen? Since I'm currently making a purchase decision: Would you say the Valerion Plus 2 paired with the Vividstorm Fusion ALR is the better pick over the Nexigo Aurora Pro/Formovie Theater with the Celexon UST Screen if you mainly watch in a dimmed room or with some daylight? Thank you

Thanks, Andy! For the AWOL, I used the Vividstorm, and for the Pro 2, I paired it with the Dynamic Slate ALR Celexon. Your question is a tough one! If I had to choose today, I’d probably go with the Valerion combined with either a Fresnel or Fusion screen. Keep in mind, I use my projector for more than 8 hours a day, so the 100W power consumption (compared to 400+ on something like the Formovie, for example) is definitely a significant factor for me when making a purchase.

How would the Valerian Pro2 compare to an Epson 6030UB ??

I believe all the tests are using a special ALR screen provided by Valerion. Might we be disappointed if we can't achieve the same quality with our regular screens and walls?

Valerion is the little sister of AWOL , it's the sister company and it's a long throw projector vs a UST projector

Both shots were intentionally overexposed so that, even after KZbin's compression, viewers can still get a sense of the differences between them.

AWOL 3500 Pro is still the King and turn the lights on and the Valerion will wash out like bleach on Blue Jeans.
@projectorjunkies4152
@projectorjunkies4152 Ай бұрын
nope, with a fresnel or a fusion screen. On the other hand, try using the AWOL on a plain white screen rather than a CLR screen, and then turn on the lights. But yes, 3500pro is still going strong..

Is the AWOL 3500 much brighter nits on the screen vs the valerion Pro2 in this side by side? The raised blacks captured in the video for the AWOL, wondering how much of it is due to it possibly being brighter?

@@projectorjunkies4152I am participating in the Kickstarter for the Valerion Pro Max & I’m curious what screen is out now you would recommend for a room that will have some external light peaking through the window shades. Do you believe additional screen options are coming that will enhance the viewing experience on the Pro Max ?

Why are you comparing the VisionMaster Pro 2 vs the LTV-3500 Pro?? The VisionMaster Pro 2 isn't an Ultra Short Throw projector. Keep it fair. 😑

Why you mad? It's a good comparison to see how UTS compare to something like Pro 2. Even if price difference is big, even if they have different purpose but getting an idea how they compare gives more clarity on buying decision.

Without ebl, Valerion seems to win. With ebl AWOL seems to have a slight edge with the brighter highlights, though the Valerion still has a lower black floor. I do wonder how the Valerion Max would perform with the dynamic iris.
