Bill walked in on Sam and Roger arguing about Burke. Burke calls Carolyn to tell her he has found her ring. Bill liquors up Sam and asks him questions about Roger and Burke. Roger meets Burke at the diner and notices Carolyn's ring and insists that Burke give it to him to return to her. Roger gives the ring to Carolyn and tries to stop her (unsuccessfully) from meeting with Burke. Bill continues to pump Sam for information and Sam admits that he is the only thing keeping Roger from going to prison. Please look at my About section to find out about my channel.

I have to say I am really enjoying the shows before the supernatural became an everyday event. These hints of ghosts and the Gothic feel are providing plenty of entertainment for me right now even if the plot is moving at a glacial pace. It's a nice relief from the warp-speed we're subjected to on everything these days. I can't get enough of Elizabeth and Joan Bennett.

A rare exterior shot with a nice Plymouth! Really cool. I love Bill Malloy. They should have kept him around when Barnabas comes to town. He would have made a great ghoul of somekind.

I DO NOT like or follow "Soaps" But this is no ordinary soap, I started watching from the first installation to now and I'm mildly hooked. As a young kid growing up in the 70s I used to visit my grandmother in the Caribbean This was very popular in the BWI and Jamaica, I remember my "folks" there who were of Brittish decent, always talking about Barnabas Collins whom I have not seen yet, but I can see the build up here to something, some kind of creeping subterranian Horror - there are supposedly more than 600 episodes of this, I hope I can find them somewhere on the net, if not on YT. Thanks for posting.

there are about 1225 episodes give or a take though the only place I think ya can get the full collection is an online market site. KZbin nor hulu or netflix seems to have anywhere near the full collection but still very nice to see some of the old episodes again. Note: I believe netflix has even removed their episodes now.

William Benton Good God Man!! 1225 you say!! That is over 400 hours of shade!! If I even make it to episode 250, Dark Shadows will top any TV or radio series I have watched to date. However there aren't many TV shows, outside Soap Operas that can rival that number, since the soaps were televised daily during the week. Gunsmoke Hold the record for longest continuous American TV series With 21 seasons, approx 650 epps. Bonanza came close. I do believe the world record would go to "Dr. Who" which actually started as a kind of sci fi "soap" and although not continuous is still alive and a work in progress after some 35 years. I once watched a few ep's of "General Hospital" then dropped it for about 3 years and when I watched it again I still knew exactly what was going on. I don't get that feeling from Dark Shadows at least not to such a degree. I have watched 127 episodes, even pulled an 18+hour nonstop marathon "shadow bender", and I barely know what is going on. These people have some "Issues" !! LOL!! But not even the centuries old pain in the neck Barnabas could find the time for 1225!! Also that Burke Devlin, and his little insufferable side kick "David" make Old Barnie seem like pesky bed bug by comparison, they have driven me to take up Drinking again for my nerves, I'd buy the Whole house rounds all night long, Ghosts Goblins Ghouls Barnabas incl. If someone, ANYone at all, would simply, deliberately "mistake" that little "Shit", for a "Foot Ball" and "accidentally" kick a 90 yard field goal right off that Widows cliff and straight into "Davy Jones" Locker. Any way I guess I'll just keep plugging away. Thanks for the Info.

Sure thing. And yes indeed 1225 is a lot of episodes. As a youth I remember watching all of them and can remember most of what the storylines were about. When the ratings fell short in the last season I was sort of bummed as I didn't really enjoy any of the remakes or revisited versions of the programme. Btw lol Young and the restless currently has over ten thousand episodes and was renewed until 2017 so more to come as an example of number of episode comparison lol

William Benton Amazing. And you can be sure there "Soap" fans who have seen most all of those Y&R eps..and forgive me, here, as I said I am not much of an expert on soaps, but I think, the longest soap or most prolific, or popular is that Brittish one...Coronation Street? Not sure. Some people take those shows almost more seriously than their own lives!! Anyway, I am enjoying many aspects of Dark Shadows, and I'm kind of glad that I won't run out of epps too soon. It seems well written, so it should keep entertained for a while LOL.

Oh indeed. Coronation Street is extremely popular especially considering it wasn't expected to live past the 13 initial episodes lol. I enjoy these old ones and the earlier episodes of shows because it shows the raw talent of some of these people. First takes and all due to expenses of do overs. Despite some minor line issues it just shows how well hearsed these actors were as well as small amount of improvision by some of them. Dark Shadows is truly a treat.

My sympathy for Roger is going up and down faster than the liquor glasses in this show. He mention david first here, and it's gotten me even more conflicted. I'm conflicted over almost everyone in this show. roger especially, but burke to some extent too

Did anyone notice the scar on Roger's forehead? The last episode it looked drawn on and this episode it looks almost real, all drawn in and the stitches barely noticeable.

Either two different makeup guys or someone was in a hurry and no one noticed before air time. The things we didn't notice or have forgotten in 50 years.
