I agree that a lot of cybercrime is due to human error and it’s frustrating to see people fall for such obvious scams

It's a boring topic that get's overlooked, but briefing family members on cybersecurity could save a lot of heartache. Usually a lot of the family is vulnerable.

I like the emphasis on educating the public about cyber threats. Awareness is the first step in prevention.

I feel like a lot of the fear around AI is overblown. Like he said it's always a human action that allows the scam to take place. People have to be smarter.

AI does present risks, but I believe it's also our responsibility to innovate responsibly and ethically.

It's fascinating-and a bit disturbing-to think of cybercrime as a multi-trillion dollar industry. How did we get here?

Deepfakes are a real concern. It's already hard to tell, but give it a year and you won't have a hope of knowing what's real and what isn't!

Security questions will get weird because of that population that forgets their own passcodes and even can't memorize such things.

I've had those messages on my phone saying my information has been part of a data leak. Is there anything that I can do? Or do all the bad guys on the dark web now know my address and what I had for breakfast?

I didn't really understand the ransom part. Is the customer support pretending to help the victim against the ransomware or are they like "Oh yeah we're definitely the ones after your money, but we'll make it a courteous and seamless experience so you can get back to work ASAP."

Great news is that most Africans use languages that AI would take centuries to understand or even have access to. Bad news is that social media(and a certain weird generation that shan't be named) keeps posting everything for AI models to crawl the internet and find them.
