I don't agree here bro. The reason why new stars are not being raised in India is due to rohit and kohli being selfish and not giving up their place in the team. But in case of Sri Lanka, sanga and mahela already built the future set of players such as mathews, chandimal, thisara, thirimanne, malinga, ajantha mendis etc. Mathews had the highest batting average and one of the highest wicket takers of 2014 both in the same year. Chandimal was the youngest player to score a Lords 100 if I am right. Thisara was the key player I SL winning 2014 t20 wc. So sanga and mahela actually built a new set of players to the future but that was ruined by the corrupted SL cricket board. They left out these players due to personal grudges and some other factors which led to the long downfall of SL cricket. But in the case of India, the problem is with the players more than the board

Bro even today Harsha Bhogle released a video of his WCT20 squad and he said that 6 players are must starters and pick themselves. I usually consider Harsha as someone who's level headed, but this is exactly what's wrong with ICT and fans that worship certain players. It's actually very saddening to see that after that Dhoni period we've regressed back to our trophyless and individual statistic days, rather than progressing forward into looking at cricket as what it is supposed to be - a team game.

Another one point.. Bcci should think of revoking the impact player rule atleast in t20 world cup years. Players do not get the same advantage there. Why is India not thinking beyond gill, rohit & jaiswal to open the batting for t20 world cup ? Ruturaj has better stats & consistency in t20's (both international and domestic) than gill, rohit & jaiswal over the last 4 years.Gaikwad is the fastest batsman to score 2000 runs in IPL. As of now, 2nd position in orange cap as well. I think its better to let ruturaj & kohli open the batting. Bumrah can lead the team.
