See that's why I fucks with you for the past 8-9 years man. Your technique is more of a natural technique which I like. You are one of the few influencers that keep it natural and not draggish. I learned so much for you. Love you Destiny!!!
@kyvette5116 жыл бұрын
misskeyla21 That's it! I couldn't put my thoughts together but absolutely IG drag makeup has heavily influenced far to many MUA's as well as the everyday woman. My client base wants natural, glowy makeup with occasional glam for events. I was so discouraged initially bc so many women wanted the overdone, over painted faces. I finally rebranded myself, was truthful with what I can do and its been a blessing.

Destiny, I honestly dont know why you have not surpassed 1 million subscribers by now!! I have been watching you for years and you are simply a master of your craft. For those people who want to learn how to apply makeup correctly and look flawless without all the fluff and showy promos and lights, they need look no further than your channel. So true girl! we dont like using the race card, but the numbers/Stats dont lie, we are hugely underrepresented in this arena, so it truly irks me when we have true talent and professionals like Destiny, not put in the spotlight.

What I love about your tutorials is that there isn't a lot of unnecessary chatter! Straight and to the point and BEAUTIFUL! At first I thought 20 minutes was eternity, but I found myself checking the time because it went by so fast! I watched a 10 minute video last night and 7 minutes was about the personalities! I hate that! Thank you... I've learned everything I know from you!

Tried color correcting only, by turning on this video and sitting at my vanity. I listened and tried it. When I just need to get out the door, from now on, I will color correct and go!! Thank you. This is a very helpful video. When I began my process of being a makeup artist, I was taught about placement for under eye highlighting and contouring. But I found myself following trends and taking the under eye highlight to the temple. Youre right its best to highlight the mid face, nose, forehead and chin (if needed to create an oval shape). Thank you for reminding me about proper placement.

You are colour correction queen, Desi!!!! Some years ago, I walked into a makeup store for concealer but a worker told me to use an orange colour corrector. I didn't understand much but she applied a product on me. It covered my under eye circles somewhat. But then Desi came uploaded a video not long after that. So, I'm basically accrediting my FULL knowledge of colour correction to Destiny Godley. She's the best!!! Who wouldn't want to learn from the best??!. ;-}

Gorgeous, thank you for once again trying to school the chirren on color corrections & highlighters. Highlighting should be strategic & appropriate for your face shape. Thank you for saying highlighter doesn't and shouldn't always be glittery, your skin texture matters! You really are the complexion scientist! I've shared your channel with a ton of people over the years. This is amazing to see it blend into your skin. I have always been intimidated by color correcting for fear of it mixing with my foundation and changing the color but you made it look so effortless and smooth where it truly color corrected and blended in perfectly, with not a bunch of orange and peach and all that clearly visible on your face when you put foundation on. I will try color correcting now. Thank you. And thank you for speaking on highlighter. I have seen people highlighting acne....why just why? You have to do what fits you not just jump on every trend in dealing with makeup and I just dont think sparkly highlighter works for everyone, including me
