From my experience of dating. I'm a light skinned woman and I've always attracted dark skinned men. Literally all my life I've attracted dark skinned men and I don't know why I've never attracted light skinned men but from my experience dark skinned men are really aggressive and some have self hating issues which now I will have to reject dark skinned men because it never works out with them. Now I'm looking for someone of my same complection so I won't have those issues. It's hard when that's all I attracted so I started working on my body going to the gym and hopefully when I get my waist smaller I will attract a variety of men not just dark skinned men.

I fully understand and believe what you are saying, my son whom is now deceased was a light skinned young man, he was mixed race/bi-racial he had so much hatred towards him from dark skinned guys they were truly full of hate and yet my son was always proud of his Jamaican roots, but because he had a lot of interest and attention from the females and had children from a few different women, that only fuelled the hatred from the dark skinned men in the community, it's bad enough when females are jealous of each other and behave very bitchy and spiteful, but when the males are jealous and have hatred towards another male its on a whole other level believe me, and this hatred , jealousy and colourism is often passed down from their parents talking and cursing about light skinned and caucasion people in front of these men growing up and so they have this built up hatred, not all but many, its very sad.

Its crazy colorism isn't really talked about as much when it comes to black men but its just as common as it is with black females, and it just as disgusting and brutal. Light skin men are put on a pedestal too and are often teased and bullied called soft and Gay. Meanwhile the light skin females are called ugly and jumped and in fights with DSBW. Its a whole ass mess. But no one wants to have these conversations. Light skins are often gaslit into thinking that they should be silent or rather defend the dark skins over their own experiences because often the light skin's are made to feel like their mistreatment wasn't as bad compared to darker skin blacks. Light skins are often left unheard and ignored and gaslit by people telling them their mistreatment had nothing to do with them being light skin but rather it was because of they had a bad attitudes and thought they were better. Which again is not true. I saw light skins with the most sweetest personalities that never bothered anyone, but yet their physical presence would literally make dark skin people look at them so evil. It was crazy. I had this experience myself I was quiet, extremely shy and, I stayed mostly by myself and I dressed really nice. I had woman assuming I was stuck up. Which confused the hell out of me because I was just being myself not particularly concerned or paying attention to anyone I was in my own little world. 😂😂 But people still had a problem with me.

I’m red too, but get real deep copper brown in the summer especially if I’m outdoors a lot. Still light skinned ninja though. think it’s more to do colorism than racism. My mom was dark skinned with strong West African features and my dad was a light bright almost Ricky Ricardo looking dude. It's an internal thing. Insecurity, low self-esteem, no self confidence, very lil consistency. But, I'm starting to think people are noticing the decline in the culture nowadays.
