The final[?] installment of the shield only series, the run basically ended after +10 but where is the fun in that? It is a full "guide", I think.

@@yourdad5799 If you have knocked knees or shin splinters (lot of weight, injury, blunt trauma), you will have shin pains if you walk fast/long time. You are meant to run or do jogging to put more stress on weak muscles to build up tissue.

The struggle of finding a good shield to use , I know this feeling. I beat the whole game with the door shields including all the side bosses, it was the hardest thing I have ever done but in the end I was victorious.

good job. i've done this run three times, so here's some advice for anyone interested: you can buy the pierce shield from patches and do siegward's quest for an easy slab. stone parma in the poison swamp hits harder and you can't use the leo ring until the boreal valley anyway. (blood gem infused) spiked shield shreds dancer, oceiros, and princes. not to mention demon prince, but you might want to use the doors on that last one. maybe. friede is very tough without the giant door shield and there's no good reason to fight her that early. dragonslayer's greatshield is a beast and can carry you most of the rest of the way to the giant door shield, after which, nothing can stand in your way (unless you run out of FP against friede)

@@ibrahimbaghdadi2187 the bonewheel shield is underwhelming in 3 compared to the extreme powerhouse it is in the first dark souls. it's a greatshield dropped by the skeletons that spin around and hit you with their wheel of bones. hence "bonewheel skeletons"

I did a shield only run on Twitch a while back and saved them to my channel on KZbin. I mainly used the Stone Greatshield I farmed from the Elder Ghrus through most of the game and didnt get the Door Shield until I beat Twin Princes. You took the most gigachad way by getting the shield much sooner than I did. Great video!

It's nice to see another persons take on this run. I personally did this with the lothric knight greatshield and other greatshields (depending on boss and desired resistance for any given boss). it takes a lot of patience to play through DS3 shield only.

Dude, you got taste in OST, I like the vid as soon as I heard the intro music of GTA:Chinatown Wars. Also Mario Strikers Charged YES. I laughed my ass off and I realised that Deacons DPS Race was too hard so you did Friede instead in order to get the +10 Door Shield. I did Deacons with a +5 Heavy Twin Dragons Greatshield and it was *PAIN* . Also in 470 hours, I never knew that you could parry Friede. *_tfw there's a run where Friede is easier than Deacons_*
