The Crossbow really took off in the late game areas, turned out to get more fun as the run went on. Was working on a bit more creative elements to the video, hope you enjoyed them!

I once tried a crossbow-only run in DS1. Thing is, unupgraded crossbows do so little damage that most enemies aren't worth the price of the bolts required to kill them. And there aren't any of those fancy weapon arts, so you can't do damage without bolts. Hope you like kicking hollows off ledges.

if I were you I'd use forest hunters farming spot, just get that 10k souls (you can cheese wyvern) for crest and you're golden.

@@Be_And I definitely think it's still possible, just that the early game will be very tedious. I think it'll probably get easier when you get the Lordvessel since you can go get the Avelyn after that.

@@Be_And As for Dark Souls 2, the best strat is probably going to be finding the fastest route to the Sanctum Crossbow. It has a special attack where it shoots a dark projectile that scales like any hexes would, without consuming any bolts (But it does drain durabiity really fast though, so you can't really spam it on every single mob you find).

In DS1 you could carry 999 bolts, so ammo was not a problem. On top of that blessed infused crossbows had big damage that didn't need scaling, and shooting with the crossbow didn't consume stamina. So, yeah, crossbows were pretty broken back then...

great video as usual, the editing is GREAT and inspires me to improve at it, the text is amazing each text appears in a different time, text for boss names, text for glitches, text for video parts, and music linking with the clip i know how annoying it can be to do that but looking back at it after being done is worth the hard work, but i would like to give a tip, for decons curse build up that makes it a DPS race you can just stagger the tall ones with a headshot, the ones that are holding their hand up in that curse attack, they will stagger and stop the curse build up, staggering one is enough but when they do it again you will have more than 4decons doing it meaning you will have to stagger more decons next time if you don't stagger all 4 of them, that tip is IMPORTANT if you will ever do a challenge with shit damage
