Probably the weirdest invasion I ever had was when I was invaded by an Aldritch Faithful. Instead of attacking me, he followed me around, and even helped "fight" the enemies. He stayed with me all the way to the bonfire, and after I lit it, I decided to thank him by letting him kill me. He jumped off the ledge instead.

This has probably been suggested before but ... have you tried using a lothric knight sword ? The slight increase of critical damage it has helps more than you expect when you use a hornet ring I could provide video proof if you're skeptical about it

Let me tell you about a weird thing that happened once. I was running a small fight club, and upon finding no more opponents for the guy I summoned, I decided to fight him myself. After a close match, I did the Path of the Dragon emote to let him know that I was willing to die. Rather than accept the kill, he decided to drop off the ledge.
